Why would Charlie be with a person who seems so unlikable? Everything about her screams, fake. Is it possible she's just comes off as the most disingenuous person your ever saw, again then, Charlie would not have someone like this in his life. It just doesn't add up.
That has been my thought all along. I have always felt something was off with her. I can’t pinpoint it. My boyfriend thinks she “looks” fake but I told him it’s not anything visual for me. It’s deeper. Behind her eyes, her mannerisms… her soul. It just never settled well with me. Charlie must have been blinded by love. No matter how intelligent someone is, it can be hard to be objective with one’s the heart desires.
I think there’s a level of malevolent evil that most of us (me included) have a hard time believing. I think you’re likely correct about Erika. If that’s true it would be so cold, calculated, intimate, to be incomprehensible to normal people.
I also think too many over analyze Charlie. I think he was an honest, sincere open book. Dark forces I believe saw his potential enormous impact on their coveted young minds and couldn’t take any chances. Enter Erika Kirk on a mission to blind Charlie by “love”. Once he started noticing too much and couldn’t be bought his fate was sealed.
