My son went to shool there and he was the only one of his Class that spoke German, this was in 1993. So he hated School because he had to wait for everybody catch up the language... But if you go there and buy everything local, locally owned lodging, etc that good might outweigh the bad. Especially if you’re in a very conservative area where the locals hate their government. Also pay in cash anytime you possibly can, hopefully someone will be smart enough to forget to report it on their taxes.
