The couple of generations of Veterans who were largely self-medicating war trauma with alcohol IE WW2 and Korea are by and large mostly dead.
The Youth are often either broke financially and or otherwise. Working so much they have little desire to go out clubbing. Or they’re using various kinds of other narcotics. So there’s less alcohol consumption in that field.
And the Middle Aged to early elderly people are turning to the various forms of Cannabis products now that they are largely legal. They may still drink on occasion. But nowhere near the quantities their parents and grandparents did.
The primary consumers of alcohol are going to be the tried and true alcoholics. Or the Wine and Spirits snobs. Who can afford the ultra high end shit.
Some fascinating research links indicates there is some correlation between our declining alcohol consumption and subsequently declining birth rates. Or to put it in laymans terms. There’s less booze fueled flings.
That's because Delta 8/9/10 entered the scene and managed people better, without too much destruction and fallout. They were helping people immensely. Veterans practically stopped going to the VA because Deltas were all many needed.
BUT...... Its because of this exact statistic you posted and the lack of VA customers that the Deltas had to go away. At least in Alabama and TX they're gone now......
It was Jim Beam who lobbied to have Delta 8/9 banned. They lost their ass in profits the past few years because people stopped drinking. Can't have that........
Now let's see how much that statistic shoots back up after the alternative has been removed for a year. Hasn't been banned long enough to gather real data yet
My guess is Democrats were already getting weed before Delta came out so it barely effected their alcohol consumption when Delta came out.
Very interesting data for sure.
Jim Beam stopped production and blamed tariffs for their slumping sales. Then in their next breath, they say how alcohol consumption in the US has fallen off a cliff.
Alcohol was an addiction and I struggled. This is going to be hard to believe, but I just couldn't stop myself. So, I prayed about it. I prayed that I would just stop. And it did. No cravings, no urges, no desires, no side effects. It just stopped. Since then (about a year ago), my physical strength has greatly increased. I do 100lb rucks, and I've lost nearly 30lbs in the past six weeks from sticking to a fasting regimen with carnivore. Still trying to kill other other vices, but I'm leveling up. If I can do it, you can too :)
I personally drink less alcohol too now. I prefer those non-alcoholic ipa beers. I would rather not be tired and go exercise than be wiped out for the rest of the day.

Yep
💥💥 Smoking weed, is there a graph line(📈) for that? 💥💥
Well, the dems have Crazy Nancy and Kamambla who probably did their patriotic duty and upped their booze consumption to save the industry!
Could there also be a religious / spiritual correlation for the decline in drinking?

Money/cost of living related.
