I GET it. And that could/should absolutely be explained to the MAHA base. IT'S NOT EASY to fight the combined resources of Big Food, Big AG, and Big Pharme!!! But this EO appears to be French style white flag SURRENDER. NOT ACCEPTABLE.
We are not stearing a speedboat, or a row boat, America is an aircraft carrier. Do you think it can turn on a dime?
Demons are pulling HARD to port. We have to pull not only as hard but HARDER to Starboard. On top of that, we weary frogs want a quick 180. At best with full helm control, this ship turns by degrees. Singular degrees.
IT TAKES TIME. Are we seeing double digit degree turns? YES, YES WE ARE. Compared to the last 50 years, this is lightning speed!
Frens need to adjust your expectations. If you are demanding change now otherwise you drop Trump et al, YOU ARE PART OF THE PROBLEM.
This EO is about onshoring a critical mineral "phosphorus" for production being stateside and not being reliant upon China where we receive 95% of our glyphosate. Phosphorus being the precursor needed to produce.
The EO states a bunch of items phosphorous is used for including semi conductors. So there's more of a reason to produce it here.
I also think as another poster said you can't just flip a switch and stop using it [glyphosate] if you don't have alternative means as a 1 to 1 substitute as stated in the executive order.
I'm not disagreeing with you - I'd love for the entire food system to use those methods.
However...They need plenty of slop to feed the useless eaters while they protest ICE...etc.
The whole system is entirely fd up - ESPECIALLY when it comes to meat and the bs USDA cartel...Try raising meat birds and see how many die on the way to the closest USDA processor 4 hours away... because you're too small to afford your own guy on staff. That's just chickens ...
Big Ag has made it impossible for family owned farms to exist with megadonor lobbyist corporate agriculture. I totally sympathize with anyone that chooses the lifestyle of self-sufficiency.
Not entirely true, it depends on what state you live in. Indiana has thriving small farms all over. Yes there are big ones too. Did the rules change for farming? You bet, just like they change for every industry.
Farmers have to stay on top of things just like everyone else. And here is proof. I work with farmes almost every day, even new kids in their early 20's getting their first bird or hog barn up and going. Then a year later were setting up their 3rd barn, planning for 5 more.
Farming is no different from any other industry. Some places the small guy gets squeezed out, others they thrive.
Sucks that a lot of family farms got crushed through market manipulation. We gotta fight to level the playing field for small farms. However, like i said, just know there are many that are thriving, and new ones going up all the time.
Can you imagine if we didn’t cater food to ICE protests? Poor dears might balloon back to under 425 and have to start spending their hair dye and tattoo budgets on food.
Might would just collapse society. No, we have to keep funding them. It’s an important role.
The EO would have been much better if it had said "we're going to protect glyphosate for 10 yrs, and during this time, starting NOW, we're going to give massive research grants to DARPA as well as subsidies on developing and putting into the hands of big farms first, then med and small farms the INDUSTRIAL LASER WEEDER ROOMBAS AND DRONES'
That would have been smarter. This laserweeding is going to be a big deal. They also have smart ai lasers that 'dazzle' bothersome birds like ravens, crows, magpies, and other corvid types; and in aus those loud fuckers kukoburra and eu starlings from attacking and destsroying crops
Not sure kookaburras are destroying crops over here mate, as they are carnivorous. You might be thinking about sulphur crested cockatoos or galahs which are both noisy and can be quite a pest to farmers.
tAqO...you have elucidated exactly what needs to be done before this chemical is off the market. And I do believe that President Trump realizes this along with Sec. Kennedy.
Until a "SAFE" replacement is found this is the truth that has to be lived with, however, there are certain things that can be done to make sure that humans are not INGESTING this stuff in quantities that will cause cancers and other such maladies!!!!!...BUY FROM LOCAL FARMERS who don't touch the stuff and ask a fruit/vegetable stands if this stuff was used...Sharp Minds, Create Smart Tongue!!!!!
Kennedy said as much in the interview - essentially that you can't just shut it down immediately because it would devastate countless farmers. He's right.
It's a bit more complex and complicated than most know... especially those who have never farmed or even had a garden bigger than 5 acres...
Of course, everyone wants to go the natural/organic route... but few really understand what it takes to do that. Right off the bat, you need HUGE AMOUNTS OF SHIT...and - you need REALLY healthy, live soil. Where are you going to get the SHIT? Animals like horses, cows/steer and chickens - a LOT of chickens - are required to generate enough organic type fertilizer to cover any substantial acreage. It's staggering actually...
This is EXACTLY WHY chemical fertilizer became so popular when the Ag guy came around to the farm in the 40s promising bigger yields. And they DID create more produce as a result. Now, this increased yield became an EXPECTATION going forward. Fertilizing using the old honey wagon became obsolete because the difference in yield was serious.
Farm LABOR is a huge expense - Going organic/natural? You're only going to go so far using row crop tilling via a tractor. It STILL REQUIRES LABOR via a crew using a hoe BY HAND to get the weeds where the tractor can't reach - which is exactly WHY Roundup is so popular.
They've cut out ALL the need for farm animals to drive the rest if the farm via a "natural SHIT battery" - AND all the associated animal maintenance - vet care, deworming, hay (a whole other operation), grain/supplements, foot/hoove/farrier, water, housing, etc etc and the LABOR involved (not to mention stress/worry - most have NO idea)
So now you have high yield per acre down to a science (whether that's the RIGHT decision for humanity is another discussion) - razor thin margins, subsidies to actually get paid, insurance, weather, losses, etc - They've gotten REALLY efficient at doing ONE crop ... Switching over to "organic" is a completely different world with MORE inputs required for WAY LESS yield on an already RAZOR THIN return - AND there's not enough "premium" for no spray/organic/natural labelled produce to BREAK EVEN - let alone profit from it. It's a VERY TOUGH situation... and one that no amateur gardener understands when it's scaled up...
It will take TIME to get out from under the mess we've made for ourselves in this regard...
FYI - I HATE the RoundUp POISON...
However, there are certain realities. You CAN'T just STOP using it like flipping a switch. The entire Ag industry would come crashing down.
We must TRANSITION off this shit and into a different way of dealing with weeds.
This is the reality of the situation...UNFORTUNATELY.
I GET it. And that could/should absolutely be explained to the MAHA base. IT'S NOT EASY to fight the combined resources of Big Food, Big AG, and Big Pharme!!! But this EO appears to be French style white flag SURRENDER. NOT ACCEPTABLE.
Moves and counter moves.
We're not going to unfk decades of the machine in one fell swoop.
Butt you can SURRENDER in one fell swoop.,,,
Do you know how long some of us have wanted the money fixed? There’s frogs who’ve been after this since the 60’s.
When some things started happening, everyone here started posting “it’s habbening [ron paul memes]”.
If it happens too quickly, you know what happens? 90% of us DIE.
Do you make your own food and clothing, or have local procurement whose production could ramp up as needed if things got rough?
Do even 30% of the people in nearby counties have that ability?
As annoying as this is, it took CENTURIES to get out of slavery in Egypt, and 40 years even after that for Israel to get to where it needed to be.
If this plan is indeed biblical, please note, God does not work on your timetable, or in ways that will typically make sense to you.
We are not stearing a speedboat, or a row boat, America is an aircraft carrier. Do you think it can turn on a dime?

Read the EO, then read this. The shills are out deep tonight.

Maybe stopping big Ag subsidies would help too. Like how can we encourage small acreage permaculture when the big boys get taxpayer money?
I remember the rumors that Joel Salatin would help out with the administration but of course that fizzled out.
I believe BlackRock owned factory 'farms' should be seized and given back to their prior owners, but that's a battle for another day, fren.....
I always hated the idea of farm subsidies...
The whole thing is completely fd up... for a huge number of reasons.
If you haven't seen King Corn it's an interesting look at this... and college kids get a REAL education on phuckery.
u/#catdance
I haven't seen that so thanks for the link.
Funny thing is my inlaws get big bucks for monocropping corn. But the whole thing is really gross and artificial.
I think your entirely off base.

Let Trump cook and quit dooming.
They’re coming up with new ways to divide Trump supporters ALL the time and online forums like this one are the testing ground.
Word.
You can't snap your fingers and make an aircraft carrier do a 180, without serious consequences.
Well said. 😁
RFK Jr does talk about this conundrum in his interview with Theo Von.
Strongly agree. This is not the issue to fight today.
Let deal with saving the children, and taking down the deepstate first.
This IS EXACTLY about 'saving the children'......
Let's win the war first. If we focus on side issues we lose.
poison in the food is not a ‘side issue’

The Amish have it figured out. Traitors we can't have close to the President. No matter who the fuck they are.
Totally different model.

Don't I know it...
Shut down at every turn...by design

Something to celebrate.

Might would just collapse society. No, we have to keep funding them. It’s an important role.
The hair dye and septum peircing industries would fall apart
Well ... I didn't mean to insinuate there was actual catering involved... but hey, why not. Isn't that one leg of the Somali Learing Centre grift?
