I read an excellent article yesterday that basically said that the strategy Israel and others have blamed on Iran about taking down middle eastern countries if they go down is really projection by Israel because that is really their strategy and this incident seems to support that.

Because Iran turned around and attacked Qatar's LNG facilities (?) instead of Israel. Trump is doing his damndest to protect the oil infrastructure even in Iran.

Iran doesn't currently export LNG from South Pars. Instead, it primarily uses its gas domestically for electricity, heating, and industrial purposes.
