Idk, as a musician myself I would agree that the majority of mainstream artists are fake & ghey regardless of genre. And that trend dates back decades... it's only gotten worse over time.
I agree though that we shouldn't blanket sweep deep cultural influences in the trash just because modernity and molestation of the music has sullied a genre. E.g. I'll keep listening to The Dead Kennedys but you can flush Blink182 right down the crapper where it belongs. Or, in this case keep the Waylon and flush the Florida Georgia Line kek!
Every genre that goes mainstream will have knock off high fructose options on the shelf next to quality artists.

By that same logic, you could run large chunks of Psalms or Proverbs through a readability tool and conclude ancient wisdom literature was written for elementary schoolers. Short lines, repetition, concrete imagery. Congratulations, you’ve just disproved poetry itself.
