The founding fathers were between a rock and a hard place Re: slavery, the southern states would not have joined the American Revolution if slavery had been abolished at that time. Now we pay the price...
It’s mainly the loud/vocal ones around here that have no idea what the fuck is actually going on around them. The real value on this board is within those of us that say little and can maneuver this echo chamber successfully. Too many people on here forgot how to use critical thinking, they simply follow the herd.
Apparently, you don't realize that this type of incident has happened several times as evidenced by online news reports. Yes -- nail salon technicians have been assaulted by customers -- do a search engine check.
Why do you expect anyone to know offhand that this particular incident is (according to the other poster) a skit -- when so many other incidents are not? It's not a matter of critical thinking when these type of incidents are a common occurrence and this footage appeared to be just another of the same type.
Edited to add: By the way, I was more struck by the violence of the video to the point that nothing else mattered. I was not reacting to the race of the "perpetrator" or the "victim", nor the supposed circumstances involving the card. Did it ever occur to you that some people have a gut reaction to seeing violence in any form?
So in your world people beat the hell out of one another all the time? So sorry for you. I don't see things like that outside of movies which, I already know are fiction.
When something is placed on this board -- and it is something that is an occurrence which happens with some frequency in the real world -- I had no reason to assume (as the other poster claimed) it was a skit. The thought that I was watching an actual person being beaten up sickened me.
I make it a point to avoid aggressive people and situations. And I also avoid situations which, can deteriorate into aggression. When I was a child, the nuns used to refer to it as "avoiding the near occasion of sin". I have found that following that one simple piece of advice allows you to view footage like that and properly label it as violence because that is exactly what it is! I have never developed an "immunity" to seeing one person injuring another.
Did someone take it down? Because there were two videos up this morning when I commented. One was of an Asian gentleman talking and the other was of a woman hitting and stomping on a nail technician whom she presumably had knocked to the ground. It was completely overwhelming in its violence and I have no idea how long it was because it was one of those things that shocked me so deeply I felt it went on forever.
For a Vietnamese dude he can sure wield the American profanities like a pro
But when he called her an upside down bowling pin I lost it
Bitch, this man is more American than you'll ever be in your whole obese, lazy, sloppy, money-wasting life - you have an EBT card, and you're out at a NAIL SALON?? GTFO
Agreed, I don’t want the government telling anyone what they should do but, if you’re getting assistance, you don’t get fake nails, hair extensions or new tattoos. In that case you should be cut off from the hand outs.
I don’t think the attitude has anything to do with skin color. I’ve been in retail businesses where people of all races are using EBT or WIC. Some act embarrassed they are on assistance and some become angry when they’re prevented from buying unauthorized items. I think the response has more to do with upbringing.
Interesting side note. A good while back, I had a coworker who had an uncanny ability to get people to talk. He would just start a conversation and pretty soon near strangers were telling him their life story. He liked to eat at a popular Asian buffet and would talk with two of the young Asian ladies who worked there.
Long story short, they told him they were brought in to the country illegally and worked in exchange for being brought here. They were provided food and a place to live, but received very little in the way of pay, more like a small allowance. They claimed a lot of the Asian businesses were doing the same thing. Here is a little sauce to back up their story and a quote from the article:
Most undocumented Asian American immigrants usually find themselves working in the service industry. The two most common being restaurants and nail salons
I believe the majority of foreign owned businesses do this. They “sponsor” people on visas who work off the “costs”, basically slave labour. So no taxes on their labour. It’s a sneaky and unfair advantage.
These businesses need to be raided and audited often.
While doing my paper route as a young boy I noticed a house in the neighborhood that had 1 minivan and about 20 Asian people living inside. I could see through the windows that what SHOULD be the dining room, living room, and family room had all these sheets strung up to divide the rooms into small living quarters.
They would all pile into that poor van in the early morning and I could hear the engine straining up the long hill towards the Mandarin restaurant a couple streets away.
I never put 2+2 together until I started waking up years later.
Does it promote a strong emotional response in its audience? If so, then that's a red flag to be on guard that you're being manipulated for clicks, likes, and subscribe.
How does this compare to similar videos when people are being confrontational? Most confrontational material, the person uploading the video is not filming themselves (from a steady, perfect vantage point) capturing their own performance. They're recording the other person.
I've been around black women my entire life, and when they're worked up about something, you can tell it in their voice. The woman in this sketch is way too calm for the argument that is supposed to be happening. And the dialogue is way too clean and perfectly delivered with all these great zingers happening in time.
Yes, obviously it's my opinion. Just as it's other people's opinions that this is legit. 🙄
Basic rule of thumb, if it provokes strong emotional responses, be wary of it being engineered in order to provoke those responses.
Also, the more you want something to be true, the more skeptical you should be of it.
It depends on the culture as well, to a huge degree.
Here in Canada there is different ethnic issues.
It is the natives doing the bulk of the ...disruptive behavior. And are about 30-33% of prison pop despite only being 3-4% of general pop.(10x per capita, but tons of disturbance issues that dont result in jail time as well)
Black people are about 10% of prison pop also about 3-4% of general pop (so still 3x higher per capita, but lower than in the US)
Canada has increasing violence of course after 10 years of Liberal mass immigration and victimhood and 'blame whitey' so we wont be far behind soon.
Should have been deported back home circa 1865...
That's right.
The founding fathers were between a rock and a hard place Re: slavery, the southern states would not have joined the American Revolution if slavery had been abolished at that time. Now we pay the price...
Definitely.

What "violence"? Seriously, did we watch the same video?
That verbal violence, ya know. They clearly didn't watch it.
So in your world people beat the hell out of one another all the time? So sorry for you. I don't see things like that outside of movies which, I already know are fiction.

What video are you watching? Because the one posted here has zero violence in it.
You're commenting on a video that's not the one that is being shown in this post.

upside down bowling pin
I love it. It was so funny.

The correct term is "indentured servitude", and it's illegal.
Except when it isn't, like H1Bs.

Those people must have been upbringing from the jungle. LOL
Black woman beats up an Asian woman for allegedly not accepting EBT for her nails.

I wonder if she was arrested... we will probably never know.
She probably was just to make the shop owners feel like something happened just for her to be released because skin color. Or sorry "opression"
I don't.
You guys realize this isn't real, right?
Source for this? Opinion otherwise.
Eyes and a functioning brain all that is needed.
Life experience.

13/50, I bet she pulled up in a Benz as well.
I'll bet.
Based.
Why is it always black and fat?
Not always, but its 2x the 'victim cards' - which causes an exponential increase of entitlement and rage.
When I was growing up in Portland, Oregon, no one wants to live where the Blacks congregate. I am seeing the same thing here in the southern states.

It's definitely interesting.
American Asians are on their game. Somebody had to tell them. That's how you do it.
They work hard.
I like this guy! LMAO
That's the type if immigrant we want. Hard working and know where the problems lie.
Most Asians are quite hard working and intelligent.
