According to the Constitution, Venezuela would have to formally apply. And have a functioning republican representative government, which is open to debate at the moment.
No, I don't agree that it would be a good thing to induct a completely foreign nation (language, people, history, geography) into statehood. We are the United States, not the United Nations. Otherwise, who do we become, if we abandon who we are and who we were? We are better for our southern neighbors as a good friend, than as a conqueror. And better for us, as well, to be in humble friendship than in callous arrogance.
I am concerned over the danger of a national split over language (English vs. Spanish). It has not gone well for Canada (English vs. French). Spain itself has 4 versions of Spanish (5 if you count Portuguese). With language goes the genius of the nation.
Let's make Iran the 52nd! That would piss off the mullahs.
It would piss off the Britts who control Iran !

OUR VERY SMART PRESIDENT is just MESSING WITH the heads of ALL the MALCONTENTS that want to do this country harm.
By doing this, he is letting the ones WHO are against the USofA show themselves!!!!!
Pres. Trump is playing Chess while the rest are playing checkers...Just my 2-cents!!!!!! Typical of someone who is thinking 3-4 steps ahead!!!!!!
My advice: BE VERRRRRYY CAREFUL from now on!!!!!
👆
Territory sure like Puerto Rico, not a state
🚨 IT'S OFFICIAL: President Trump is seriously looking to bring VENEZUELA in as America's 51st state
Would Delcy Rodriguez automatically become governor? 🇺🇸🇻🇪
FOX'S JOHN ROBERTS: "He surprised me a little bit: 'I'm serious about beginning a process to make Venezuela the 51st state.'"
They have TONS of oil.

I thought he might bring Venezuela in as a territory like Porto Rico etc. but not the 51st state.
He is joking right? Venezuelan are not what you think they are if you want to know more about them ask Panamanians about Venezuelan people.
No thank you.
Parts of Canada are next, followed by Greenland.

There is only one reason to even consider that move; the vast oil reserves.
And you would be hard pressed to defend them in a real war.
This is what I voted for! MAGA!
I expect Cuba also, since we are conquering nations.
I'm sure that Columbia and Brazil will be pleased. :>)
We'll make good neighbors... and keep the noise down after 9:00pm every night.
Venezuela is lucky to face this freedom movement early.
I hope Trump goes to inspire my home country any time soon into freedom from the long-time, annoying corruption.
...also Retaining_H2O, do you have auto-correct? Colombia got mispelled.
So fun to watch! 🤓
