Chevron is letting customers know in California that it’s not Donald Trump causing the insane gas prices in the state, it’s California Democrats (twitter.com)

I guess that they don't see the stickers on the pumps that show you state and local taxes on fuel.

But the policies on drilling and refining have definitely made things worse..

It’s not just the taxes, but the regulatory and economic hurdles. Without the far left, the U.S. would naturally be producing 30-50% more oil, it would have a larger and more efficient refining network, and a robust export surplus. All of these would help lower costs and cushion the U.S. from supply shocks. And also, yes, there are the massive taxes.

Chevron may close their last California refinery because of the policies.

I imagine the cost of operating the refineries has been driven way up.

Unfortunately at lot worse. Now they have to import refined oil products from foreign countries at much higher prices than what they were producing themselves. The result of insane green policies in overdrive.

Same in PA thanks to Rat Bastard Wolf and Commie Shapiro and their $1.00 slush fund.

Oh I mean gas tax increase.

It’s 4.50 in rural KY this morning. I’m not saying I don’t understand why but, the midterms will be a lot tougher to win with gas prices up $1.50 per gallon over election day 2024 levels.

That is a straw argument.

Those prices will go down.

Hey but vote DEMONrat they make everything good.

It is a stupid liberal Fake News media lie that obviously you bought into.

Of course they will go down. My point is, people will vote based on how much stupid shit they can afford to buy after filling their tank. Not everyone looks at the long game.

We don't have a lot of Chevron stations in Maryland, but would love it if they'd do that here. I know CA has the crazy emissions on top of everything else. MD just likes to add new random taxes, and of course everyone here is blaming Trump because of Iran. Same folks never questioned it when Biden's goons were shutting down domestic supply.

Sad thing is, when you try and educate Iran is in part responsible but it's not the whole truth, people don't want to be educated. It's easier to gaslight and play the blame game

Glad they are doing this but the gas is still way too high for as much as we are allegedly producing and selling. It should be damn near free. Side note, gas stations should be forced to display the cost break down when you are at the pumps. How much is state tax, how much is federal tax, how much is regulation cost, and how much it would be in a true free market.

Ya. I thought when Whitles opened her mouth and said she was allowing the fuel blend change to ease prices at the pumps (only for select heavy blue counties downstate I might add) I thought, you fucking bitch! Want to do something to lower the cost at the pumps? Eliminate your gas tax. You haven't fixed the damn roads anyway!!!! So sick of her and her two stooges. I could go on but not enough space here

Well then. Tennessee also has "California" problems at the pump. There is PRICE GOUGING ACROSS THE UNITED STATES and I am wondering why the Trump administration is quiet & NOT pressing the DOJ to prosecute the problems here at home? Silence on this unified price gouging is THE ISSUE I HAVE.

I'm trying to understand how Trump, Venezuela, the habbenings in the Strait of Hormuz, & OPEC are combining to effect AMERICA'S gas INFLATION OR PRICE GOUGING? WHO IS AMERICA SUBSIDING AROUND THE WORLD TO HAVE THESE UNNATURALLY HIGH GAS/DIESEL PRICES? ... 🤐

ME & OPEC monopolies are changing due to Trump's America - there was Venezuela, now Iran and I recall a handful of USA oil refinery infrastructure was suspiciously "damaged" in recent years. Why are we selling our oil resources to other countries (who have NOT stepped up to help the Iran oil bully) if we here at home NEED LOWER gas and diesel prices at the pump?! It's intentional PRICE GOUGING BEING ALLOWED IN THE USA right now.

Yes. I am sure b4 the Iran War, gas was cheaper. Even in the southern state here, it was cheaper. But here is the problem, we do not get gas from there.

Are the democrats in California to blame for me paying the highest gas prices I’ve ever paid in Tennessee? Should I blame the Democrats here then? I mean when a democrat is president, they say “don’t blame the president”. Ok, so Trump can’t be blamed. Who’s to blame? I’m looking at oil companies. But then ask, why aren’t they being stopped of price gouging? Its ridiculous what’s going on, so whose to blame?

The gas stations should tell their customers how much tax per gallon is being charged too. It's 91 cents in California.

SF gas prices were already over $7/gal prior to anything happening in Iran. All the states that depend on CA gas, like AZ and NV, were already paying higher gas prices as well before Iran. This was all because of Newscum and CA Dems gutting the energy sector in the state. Refineries shut down forcing CA to buy foreign refined oil products on the open market when they had their own refining capacity that they destroyed because of their green war on fossil fuels and their wacked overregulation of the sector. When Iran happened, Newscum and his Dem cronies in Sacramento conveniently shifted the blame to Trump. The Dem voters never ask the question as to why other places around the country are paying far less than they are. Sometimes half as much. Duh! Put the blame for the outrageous gas prices where it belongs. Even if oil prices come down, CA and the states that get their fuel from CA, will still be paying higher prices for their fuel. Glad to see Chevron telling the truth. Let's hope that other companies do the same.

I know California, Oregon and Washington were a lot more expensive than Texas, Kansas and Tennessee. Damn people there were always saying it was to protect the environment so we have more expensive gas. Yet, their states burned more than any other in the south with lower gas price. Once I was in TX, I saw how they managed their environment and it was a lot better. You do not have thick undergrowth and once burned, torched the whole place.

The lies and what people believe were incredible.

I’ve seen these and others at Chevron here in the hostage state. Warms my heart. We conservatives in California are starting to get slightly hopeful that election fraud can be stopped or minimized. Will still have a lot of stupid dems here, but the conservatives are more prevalent than anyone knows.
