An Ontario doctor met a 45-year-old man with Crohn’s disease once outside a Tim Hortons coffee shop and approved him for MAID euthanasia. Reasons included the patient lacking an active social network. The doctor then drove the man to an industrial funeral preparation facility where the procedure took place without any notification to the family.
The only consequence for the doctor was a verbal reprimand and six months of supervision. The tweet quotes the National Post reporting on the case and adds that when the state imposes such burdens citizens owe it repayment in kind.
I haven't met a Dr yet that didn't seem to like playing God. This kind of psychopathy is what makes people "great" Drs. It's also what makes people great serial killers.
Recently I had to go to an ER. Told the doc I do not take any medications, am otherwise healthy, don't need any vaccines. I also told him I take care of my own health by way of diet, exercise and many vitamins and supplements. Left with a referral for a Cardiologist due to "high" blood pressure and "irregular" heart beat. My BP was elevated because I was in extreme pain, and due to the way the mechanical BP cuff compressed my arm so tightly that after a few tries my BP was actually elevated significantly. He was also horrified that I don't see an MD on a regular basis. He said at my age, I should be getting regular medical care. Fortunately I don't live in Canada.

My Orthopedic surgeon isn't like this at all.
He is extremely humble.
He refers to himself by name only not Dr. so and so.
Really dark days ahead for Canadians.
