One could almost say 4th world. Even some 3rd world cities have self respect. (Some are actually quite magnificent, but hardly any in the west are aware of them.)
Don't get me wrong I'm happy Maga candidates are sweeping, but if you look at the rinos, it was sometimes close. This could have some republican voters stay home in November. Its irresponsible not to consider it. That's why prices need to drop big and fast!
i remember visiting as a kid with my parents and seeing all this stuff in working order... was there for work in more recent years and horrified to see what it had become... I didn't even want to get gas at any gas stations... it didn't feel safe.
Me. Time was children in the district jumped into the fountains when it was 102 degrees outside. No destruction and the fountains kept working. An urban tradition, like opening a fire hydrant. We had a friend who was a captain in the fire department. He told us no one worried about it. They had to do it periodically anyway. Time was, DC federal parts was spotless, except for the Suitland Parkway. I just drove down it a couple of weeks ago and it was mowed and almost spotless. In 50 years, it was the cleanest I had ever seen.
We aren't a third world country anymore. We are so back.
have you seen New York City??? Detroit?? San Fran?? 3rd world!!!

That's right.
If I were asked lower grocery prices or pretty fountains I'll never see in person, I'd say lower prices.
He will do both. Soon. You'll see.
For the sake of the midterms he better. People vote with their wallets!
During the recent primaries, Republican voters apparently voted with their brains.

It doesn't cost any more for people already employed by the government to do their jobs and keep the place clean.
Good point!
So beautiful - I had forgotten how monuments and such looked when they were cared for. Yes, thank you Mr. President, you are priceless!
An element of 5th Generation Warfare. What you are seeing is part of the plan for defeating in this country a nearly successful color revolution.
The antidote to depravity and decay is beauty.
You are so right, nicely said, thank you.
This is a variation of draining the swamp. I traveled to Paris and London last spring and there are some shithole elements in these capital cities.
I once worked with an Englishman who commented on that.
"Do you know how you can tell it is spring in Paris? You can smell the pissoirs."
SOME? Two Mad Explorers on YouTube would call that a huge understatement, as would I.

I hear its gotten a lot better.
It’s a strategy to mentally defeat the public.
