211 Republicans + 20 brave Democrats said YES to protecting your wallet.
The other 186 Democrats? Voted NO — choosing fraudsters over American citizens again.
This bill makes non-citizens who commit welfare fraud (SNAP, Social Security, federal funds, mail fraud, bribery, ID fraud, etc.) deportable immediately. No more stealing from us!
Undoubtedly one of them is Betty F. McCollum of St. Paul, MN. (I'll let you guess what F stands for in this context.)
Quite possibly the most useless Congress critter ever. She refuses to debate, for an obvious reason: if you've ever heard her speak, she both sounds, and comes off as, a complete airhead. Perhaps not surprising for someone whose private sector pinnacle achievement is being a Sears clerk at a suburban mall (no offense to others who have held the same role.)
She did somehow snow enough voters in the suburb of North St. Paul to get her elected on their city council. (probably groomed by those mysterious funders with deep pockets, who knew an easy mark when they saw one.)
I'll also add, her predecessor was Rep. Bruce Vento. The ink wasn't even dry on his lung cancer diagnosis, when she threw her hat in the ring for his replacement, publicly saying, as I recall, what a great opportunity it was for HER.
Representatives Nancy Mace (R-SC) and Anna Paulina Luna (R-FL) did not vote on the Deporting Fraudsters Act (H.R. 1958) on March 18, 2026, because they were physically absent from the House floor during the vote.
The final vote count was 231–186, with 15 members listed as "Not Voting." Both Mace and Luna were among these 15 absentees. While the official House record simply lists them as "Not Voting," their absence coincided with a period of intense activity regarding other high-profile ethics battles they were leading:
Competing Priorities: In the weeks immediately surrounding the vote (March–April 2026), Mace and Luna were the primary architects of a campaign to expel four members of Congress (Reps. Tony Gonzales, Cory Mills, Sheila Cherfilus-McCormick, and Eric Swalwell) and to force the release of sealed sexual harassment ethics files.
Strategic Focus: Reports from the time indicate that both representatives were heavily engaged in whipping votes, negotiating with leadership, and managing the procedural maneuvers required to bring expulsion votes and transparency resolutions to the floor, which may have contributed to their absence during the Deporting Fraudsters Act vote.
There is no record of either representative issuing a specific statement explaining their absence from this particular vote, and they have both publicly supported similar immigration enforcement measures in the past.

Not sure I can believe they can't do their job because they're doing their job
How about just automatic deportation for illegals period? The fraud was committed the second the stepped into USA without the proper paperwork and process.
We are so cucked by the deep state it's not even funny. They keep dropping these crumbs and we are slurping them up like they're big wins.
Deportation is the last thing these criminals deserve. They need to be charged, investigated, tried, and sentenced for the fraud. Once we have evidence of co-conspirators and restitution, then they'll be allowed to be deported, penniless.
They should not be allowed to go 'home' and live like kings on our dime!
How about just
...since their mere presence here constitutes defrauding US taxpayers
Dang that's good !! Most profound comment I've read in awhile !!
Cheers anon
Glad to see this comment, came here to say the same thing.

Terrific news! I hope to see the list of the Dims who voted NO soon.
Plus I really hope to see those who have made this even POSSIBLE in prison sooner than later, and longer than shorter.

This isn't a big win IMO.
Good luck in the Senate, they slow walk and delay everything.
Deport them to the country where all the deported criminals go to jail.
Democrat supporters will view those 20 as traitors, and those 20 will probably all get voted out.
Don't worry, Thune will block this

Will they have to do prison time??
That’s dumb. Just deport all illegals, fraud or not. Deport LEGAL immigrants that do it.
The US should deport all illegals, and anyone tied to the muslim brotherhood.
poke, poke
C'mon Do something Thune .

A good start, but how about deporting all people here illegally?
