Was someone caught adding that in to try and make it green like under Obama? Been seeing a lot of its green already posts popping up and crying about the money spent.
No idea, but I saw a bit of a MSM "news" caster, female, gleefully reporting how "Trumps" reflecting pool is now green from the algae. The bitch was so smirky I felt like slapping her through the screen. Might have been CNN, not sure because I don't watch that crap.
No. It's not people dumping fertilizer into the water. It's runoff from lawn and garden fertilizer from the people living around the Potomac that then gets into the Tidal Basin where the water for the pool is take from.
It's been a known ongoing issue since 2010 when the Obama administration switched from using tap water because of how much water was leaking from the pool.
It's one of the main reasons the pool was gross to begin with and it makes zero sense that they would continue to use gross tidal basin water that needs expensive filtering and maintenance if the leaks were all fixed as claimed.

President Trump's own people are saying the cause of the algae was from them reusing the old plumbing that was full of algae and recontaminated the water.

It's one of the main reasons the pool was disgusting to begin with and it is bewildering that they would continue to use it after a $14 million restoratiin that was supposed to fix the leaks that was the entire reason they switched from tap water to the tidal basin water

No one is dumping fertilizer in it. The high phosphorus levels are from lawn and garden runoff in the area that flows into the Potomac and then the tidal basin, where the water for the pool is sourced.
