I think this has to mean that King Charles has abandoned the monarchy for dictatorship. The King was explicitly charged with being the defender of THE CHRISTIAN FAITH, head of the Anglican Church. If he throws that off, it is like throwing off the mantle of the hereditary and historic kingdom of Great Britain. It is de facto abjuration of the divine charter, from which all kingship derives (as God ordains kings). If today's Englishmen are not aghast at this, they are lost.
The King inherited the title of Defender of the Faith, that faith being the Church of England. No one appointed him to defend any other faith. As a self-appointed defender of non-Christian faiths, he has abdicated his role as Defender of the Church of England.

The Anglican Church is by far the most liberal and sad mainline Protestant Church. King Charles surrenders the country, the “Archbishop” of Canterbury is a woman, all because King Henry wanted a divorce. They conformed to the gay secular modern world and lost.
He didn't have to earn it. He inherited it. That is how hereditary monarchy works. The British Crown is perhaps the greatest icon of white male privilege on the planet.
