Trump is looking like he didn’t consider that Iran would commit catastrophic suicide for long term gains. I love Trump but he is losing even loyal followers over this. He needs to communicate to the country - or have his most articulate proxies do it - that Iran has proven dozens of times that they won’t respect any agreement and instead wants the ideological advantage of forcing the US to destroy the entire country. It feels like time for Trump to grant their wish and then work on the best aftermath.

I don't think it's this way at all, I think Trump and Iran are trading symbolic blows while they talk behind the scenes.
Trump wants peace, not a confrontation with Islam.
The way to deal with Islam is to show it's a made-up religion whose geopolitical function is conquest, but this must be done very carefully, and in the mean time all these countries need to learn to trade rather than fight.
Trump has been doing his best to cut off material support for terrorism, which comes form various cabal sources in the west like the CIA and MI6.
Don't forget that it was the CIA and the British who put the Ayatollah into power in '79. The conflicts in the middle east were designed in the west by the cabal.

I believe that you are quite correct. It may even be more orchestrated than it appears. Those are targets that we wanted to clean up, but couldn’t break the ceasefire first. For Iran it’s a little bit of a face saving tactic.
I will admit to being very troubled by Islam. But I am also troubled by a strategy of outlawing the religion (let's call it that) outright, as being problematic for a nation dedicated to freedom of religion. It is very conflicting.
The thought I have is derived by a mental experiment along the lines of "What to do about Thuggism?" Thuggee was an Indian religious cult honoring the goddess Kali (Mistress of Death), whose practice involved the ritual murder of wayfarers. For which purpose, the cultists carried a special pick with which to dig graves to eliminate the body of the victim. The British undertook a massive campaign to stamp it out. That may have worked in a land like colonial India under an Empire, but the methods and results might not work here. But what if the cultish PRACTICES were outlawed, the ritual murder and its advocacy? Then the manhunts could commence, but as long as the cultists kept their noses unbloodied, life could go on.
Following that idea with Islam, it might be feasible to outlaw profession of Islamic supremacy as sedition, Sharia Law as insurrection, and pedophilia as a capital crime. Aside from that, practice your religion. And no one is permitted to conceal their face from the law. I may have missed something, but if that was the legal environment, and Muslims were content to live within it, peaceful coexistence might be possible. Along with the law might go a right for the government to witness all invocations at mosques, in order to enforce the proscription of illegal activities. What would "good Muslims" have to hide? So, the idea would be to attain a legally airtight containment of the bad practices, and if Muslims were willing to live within that containment, no harm done. They typically impose such restrictions on visiting infidels within their own countries, so they would have poor grounds for complaint.
Objections could be met by challenging questions: Oh, why would you want to preach sedition? Why would you want to overthrow our constitutional rule of law? Why would you want to protect pedophiles? Why would you want to conceal your face from the police, if you are innocent of evil? I think that would be an uphill battle in the public eye for them to defend such uncivil practices and ideas.
I am just trying to avert a treatement that would require change to our First Amendment. Freedom of religion stops at the point when it becomes criminal. And our legal code is based on the Ten Commandments. If Muslims have a problem with that...that's their problem, not ours.

Along with various pagan religions of the Old Testament. There is no conflict between something being a religion and also being a wicked practice.
A white hat plan to save the world from tyranny has to address Islam, but I suspect they have informational ways to do it. I also think that as humans becomes more aware, then totalitarian institutions and religions just won't be able to compete with better ways of living. People will want to leave of their own accord.

My Iranian friend had two high school friends KILLED during the protests JAN 7 & 8th, earlier this year. One was killed during the protest, the other was murdered in the hospital, while he was recovering from injuries from the protest.

How do you win against a "religion" that worships the death of its followers? I hope the radical islamists of Iran are destroyed, and the largest supporter of Islamic terrorism is gone. We could bomb millions of them, and all they would need to do is kill a few thousand of ours, and we'd lose.
