Originally the FDA was responsible for food aid, as a way to dispose of excess agricultural commodities!! YES! Dried milk, dried eggs, etc. which any truly hungry family would gladly have!
But a program designed to support farmers when there were excess commodities, has turned into a CASH program for lobsters and steaks and candy and sodas that real working families cannot afford!!
With the fraud potential over the roof!!
If hungry families need food, give them FOOD, not cash!

Well all the somalis usung smap in san diego r driving BMW and lexus all the middle easterns in costco with snap cards are driving mercedes , ive watched them load their cars , i purposely looked as im pissed about the snap . Americans dont qualify and r using food banks ,, all americans at the food bank near me , they get day old bread illegals get costco with snap , fkn pissed ! Tired of hearing they r going to take the snap awY tired of hearing anout deporting ,,, how many haitens have been rounded up since SC said its ok ,,, zero !!
My sister works for a food bank and says tons of foreigners come in for free food there as well. Also her org has been super low on stuff to give for a long time now and they are not able to give that much to people anymore!
10 years ago I watched an obese lady pay for two shopping carts worth of food at our local Ralph’s market with an EBT card… the card wasn’t working and the teller had to try it multiple times. She had a heavy accent and the USA clearly wasn’t her “native” country. I didn’t know what an EBT card was back then.
I finished with my purchase and made my way to my vehicle. I happened to be parked next to her in the parking lot and she was still loading a brand new Mercedes (paper plates) with all the food she had just purchased as I got to my car. The fraud in California has been going on for decades.

For those of us who don't speak American, I determined what this is about:-
• In the USA, SNAP stands for the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program. It is the country's largest federal anti-hunger and food assistance program, formerly known as "food stamps".

A few years ago I was buying diapers with my last few bucks and in front of me was a woman with a ridiculous purse, expensive everything from shoes , nails, hair etc buying 3 or 4 subs 2 liters of coke and sprite all on her EBT card. She then asks the clerk how much she has left on it...$2,500. I had maybe $17 in my account, drove 50miles one way to a job I hated with a newborn at the apt. She got into a Lexus that was so clean I could have shaved in the reflection.
You dont hate these parasites enough.

15 years ago in the People's Republic of Minnesota, I was saying if you haven't seen someone use an EBT card and subsequently climb into a Cadillac Escalade, then you aren't paying attention.
And the problem is?????? Heck, they gotta have some way to transport the groceries, don't they? Kek
I would think if someone could afford to buy and one of these, I would not think they would need to be on SNAP.
Statistics aside, nothing says in desperate need of welfare like a luxury car. Even if it was somehow cheep the insurance and repairs would make it too expensive to own. High probability of graft.
The UK has a program named "Motability" where if you are on welfare because of a disability then they give you a free new car. The disability does not have to be like you can't walk, there are plenty of Motability drivers who "cannot" work because of "anxiety".
There's talk of ending Motability because it is so in your face obviously a scam, but the car manufacturers have become dependent upon it to shift their metal.
Impound the cars, sell them off, add it to the treasury. Problem Solved!
