It's no big surprise that DOGE'S key revelation is a federal budget made into a maze impervious to reform.
The total amount of spending across all agencies recorded on the usaspending.gov website is wrong. It appears to be 50% higher, equating into a MULTI TRILLION-DOLLAR ERROR. This is a huge challenge that Musk and the DOGE is facing. It's not just about following the money but finding the money. Even experts have difficulty navigating the mess - contracts, awards, grants, loans, etc. It is a RABBIT HOLE.
David Ditch, a policy analyst (Heritage Foundation) claimed: "When you see the process has become so arcane even I don’t claim these are real, hard numbers, then you know the process is definitely and irreparably FUBAR."
"Federal government spending is nebulous and almost designed to be that way because no one person benefits from it being straightforward,” said Lydia Mashburn Newman, a managing director at the American Institute for Economic Research.
One of DOGE's likely biggest challenge involves its effort to reduce waste, fraud, and abuse. Since 2003 (when govt. first started tracking improper payments, they have added up to more than $2.7 trillion, and that's likely a low-ball figure.
Prayers are needed for Musk and his ENTIRE team to remain steadfast. So far, DOGE has already saved $55 billion.
Here it is, and 100% accurate.
Yes, some chemotherapy medications are derivatives of mustard gas, including mechlorethamine (Mustargen®) and chlorambucil: Mechlorethamine (Mustargen®) Also known as nitrogen mustard, this alkylating agent damages DNA in cells, preventing them from dividing. It's used to treat Hodgkin's and non-Hodgkin's lymphomas, as well as cutaneous T cell lymphoma.
Chlorambucil This derivative of an aromatic amine nitrogen mustard is used to treat chronic lymphocytic leukemia and non-Hodgkin lymphoma (NHL). Mustard gas was originally used as a chemical weapon in World War I. After the war, researchers noticed that it destroyed bone marrow and lymphatic tissue, and began to experiment with it as a cancer treatment. The first clinical trials of nitrogen mustard were conducted in the early 1940s, and some patients showed temporary benefit. However, problems with chemoresistance and chemotoxicity emerged. Today, less toxic derivatives of nitrogen mustards are used in chemotherapy. Platinum-based compounds are also commonly used to treat cancer, with about half of all cancer patients receiving this type of treatment.
