This was already posted and garnered a bit of discussion. Still adamant about this infographic needing to inform/remind people how to take screenshots.

They should add how to take a screenshot, for photographic proof that can be emailed. I believe for most if not all Android devices it's Vol down+Power.

Fun experiment... grab a telescope and have a look at other celestial bodies. If they're all round, 99.99999999% chance the Earth is too. Neat, huh?

They glow because you want to believe the Earth is flat? .....Ok.

You'll need to either give everyone your login details (TERRIBLE IDEA, DO NOT) or find a way to download and re-upload it somewhere else.

It sure looks that way on the surface, but the current op seems to be to keep morale from plummeting while the media stirs shit up and things get done out of sight. LARP or not, George keeps people's spirits high. They aren't datefagging false prophets, at least.

It's just an ad for their new animated show mocking "conspiracy theorists". But we know how it goes. First they ignore you, then they mock you, then...

As much as I like gaming, this is primarily a Q board. If you want to discuss more gaming related topics there's a .win for that.

I actually have both Win98 and Win98 SE floating around here from ye olden tymes. I don't know if you could send it or not, the pre-configued drive is probably a few gigabytes in size and you can generally only upload something that size with a paid service.

Definitely not compatible, I doubt the pin count is even the same anymore. 5 generations is a long time for a CPU.

The Guest Additions offer the following features: ...

Better video support. While the virtual graphics card which Oracle VM VirtualBox emulates for any guest operating system provides all the basic features, the custom video drivers that are installed with the Guest Additions provide you with extra high and non-standard video modes, as well as accelerated video performance.

In addition, with Windows, Linux, and Oracle Solaris guests, you can resize the virtual machine's window if the Guest Additions are installed. The video resolution in the guest will be automatically adjusted, as if you had manually entered an arbitrary resolution in the guest's Display settings. See Section 1.8.5, “Resizing the Machine's Window”.

If the Guest Additions are installed, 3D graphics and 2D video for guest applications can be accelerated. See Section 4.5, “Hardware-Accelerated Graphics”.

In addition to drag and drop, mouse integration, etc etc. It's not the same as running native but if you're running Diablo 1 or something similar it should give you plenty of GPU go-juice to work with.

Z97, before they even hit the 100s. I used to upgrade parts every 2-3 years, but lately I haven't seen the point.

VirtualBox (Oracle) should have the guest additions thing to allow it to leverage your GPU. I remember having to play some stuff that way. Not sure about VMWare, never used it much.

I've got an i7 4790k with GTX 780. So 2014, not '13. These days I wish I had kept the old PII 255MHz from my younger years. I had a Voodoo 2!

Oh jeez, haha. I'm over here with my NES/SNES/PS1/PS2 stuff and you're emulating a PC to emulate DOS. What a champion.

Jokes on them, I've been mostly retro for years now. Games have sucked for a long time. I don't think it's any coincidence that randomizers are popping up to breathe new life into old games, while the big boys are busy cranking out remakes and remasters.

I haven't upgraded my PC since 2013. My PS4 has barely been turned on since I bought it ~4 years ago. The last thing I bought was one of those retro emulation handhelds. It's great, best purchase I made in over a decade.

I don't think the top one is about not questioning the plan. It's more that people are oblivious and dooming because they can't see things at work. Certainly, question the plan. Make contingency plans. Be ready for just about anything. It's going to get a lot worse before it ever gets better.

The VV in WWG1VVGA looks like that LARPy McAfee bullshit. Q #0000, fucking please. Can we stop with this already?

3
Edge 3 points ago +3 / -0

It's definitely fuck-y. I doubt the prop master handed anyone a loaded weapon. Most likely it was brought on set and swapped/planted, or the whole thing was premeditated murder.

I ask myself why would anyone point a gun at someone, prop or not? But then I remember that there's a lot of dumbasses that don't even bother to learn the basics of gun control...

TBH she was probably getting bombarded with harassment. I see this less of an admission of guilt or anything and more to do with "there are a lot of stupid annoying people in this world".

3
Edge 3 points ago +3 / -0

It sure felt that way.... was never more glad to be rid of anything in my life.

6
Edge 6 points ago +6 / -0

When we finally reach WWG1WGA that mentality will be applicable. Until then.... I don't feel like going to jail.

Only if you clip it to your belt when you get out. How do we go about getting a big ass blade carry license?
