In my family, that kid would be eating dinner in the car- if he didnt shut up, he wouldn't be eating dinner at all- if it got worse, mom and dad pack up and take the shit home. Period.
Parents have become lazy- hand the kid an iPad at the table to shut him up rather than interact and "teach" as you go.
My parents were able to take 6 well behaved kids under the age of 12 to a fancy restaurant amd received compliments from the waitstaff on how well behaved we were.
That's because mom and dad didnt suffer fools and trained us on common courtesy. It is not easy being a parent- kids are more than a decoration

Us 8 kids are a product of public school PLUS Mom/Dad education- we were always required to do more and think more and always ask.why and then seek the answers ourselves- mom amd dad educated our internal "bullshit detectors" from a very young age...mom would often bring other educational materials to augment our public school education...
