I exaggerate a little. But having dealt with complex and challenging problems for much of my career (which resulted in several patents), I get frustrated when smart people provide poor solutions because of their personal preferences.

I don't know what it is with "educated" people. I work with a bunch of engineers. Some of them want a simple flow chart for making decisions for all situations, no matter how stupid it is (i.e. "standards"). The best analogy I can come up with is, it's green, that makes it a tractor, red is a car, if it has a hitch it's a truck. If I translated a conversation, it would sound like this:

I need a hitch on the car.

If you need a hitch, you get a truck.

So I can't put a hitch on a car?

Nope, only on a truck.

But I don't need a truck. The car is perfect and all I want to do is tow is a little trailer.

This is long overdue. How many laws are passed specifically for the benefit of enriching themselves and screwing over the average worker or investor?

I know a lot of people don't think of themselves as investors, but if they have a pension, IRA, 401K, Roth, annuity, or any other kind of retirement fund, they are investors getting robbed by the DS. Everything else that accumulates wealth is taxed and regulated, so people naturally gravitate towards tax havens, which are heavily invested in a handful of investment management companies. And they've all been stealing from us.

Honestly, I was thinking that the best way to deal with them would be if they just quietly disappeared to never be seen again. And for the occasional rumor to leak out that they were pig food - to discourage others from even trying.

I also think this was to prep the public for future revelations - erode their public support and reputations.
