I feel ya, hun. Late 40s here. Once upon a time I was going to college for screen writing. USC film school. Couldn't afford the tuition and had to drop out. But imagine ...it's been over 30 years and I still sometimes think...what if I had become a film writer? Where would I be now? In the middle of all that evil shit. That's where. So the Lord had other plans for me. And sometime soon you'll figure out what his plans are for you. Whether it's with your voice, or with some other thing you're maybe not concentrating on yet. My daughter has aspergers. Her 'one autistic thing', as many call it, is her photographic memory. We used to worry where she would end up. But now she has a great paying job as a machinist, doing something she loves. It will come to you. Patience.
