It's really a shame metro Portland gives the great state of Oregon a bad reputation. I'm in S/E Oregon it's as red as it gets here. Go Trump. Go Ducks !!

Yeah for sure sometimes I feel alone as many are either in denial or clueless.

Aces Silver, thank you for taking the time. Much appreciated. You're words really resonate with me.

Thank you I tried church & didn't work out for me. One thing that always struck me was the belief of many that Christians would be lifted to the heavens when things turn bad. I have a hard time believing that myself.

I admit I'm not much of a bible reader, I think you are correct though.

You're welcome. I just listed some items to give our readers a small idea of what it takes to raise cattle.

We had 5,000 ground lightning strikes here in eastern Oregon/ western Idaho on Monday. It all started back in June countless dry storms. I've lost track of how many acres of rangeland/forest land has been burned. More coming this weekend.

I hope it works for them, one of the biggest costs is winter feed you either have to buy it, or harvest yourself. Depending on the size of the operation, you need @ least a tractor a hay rake a swather and a baler plus many miscellaneous items.

I live N/E of there in Oregon the storms tracked to the N/E from Nevada thru Oregon and into Idaho yesterday. It was a doozy..NWS in Boise Idaho recorded 5000 cloud to ground lightning strikes and nearly 20,000 intracloud lightning strikes. In those numbers I assume they included S/E Oregon in those numbers.
