The problem with homeschool is that kids are not able to develop a strong immune system which depends on normal exposure to germs. The homeschool environment is great for other reasons, but is usually socially isolating compared to public school. I want my kid out and about all week, not sure one day a week would cut it for socialization. If not, then when they do go out into the public and do stuff like going to a water park, they get overly sick. That is what we are seeing with RSV.
