I imagine it's the same as in Canada: when the Conservatives comes to power, it's like you had been driving towards a cliff and you put the car in neutral, and you keep going until the pendulum swings left again, and that puts the car back into drive. We need to be stomping on the brakes and turning the car around.

Then watch Blueanon theories start engulfing the left, like the Conservatives somehow infiltrated and rigged the DNC to make & keep Biden the candidate with the goal that Trump would swoop in and destroy "our democracy!" 😵‍💫

I can't say I'd heard of it before now, but a shallow dive makes me think it doesn't really seem all that bad. I asked Perplexity to summarize it; here's what it said:
summarize the goals of project2025.org

Project 2025 is a conservative initiative led by the Heritage Foundation aimed at preparing for a potential Republican administration taking office in January 2025. Its main goals include:

  1. Developing a comprehensive conservative policy agenda covering major issues facing the country[1][3].

  2. Creating a database of conservative personnel to fill government positions[1].

  3. Providing training for potential conservative administrators through workshops, seminars, and mentorship[1].

  4. Crafting a 180-day playbook of actions to quickly implement conservative policies[1].

  5. Dismantling what they call the "administrative state" by reducing federal bureaucracy and increasing presidential control over agencies[3][4].

  6. Promoting conservative values in areas like family, immigration, energy policy, and individual rights[4].

  7. Implementing significant changes in various federal agencies, including potential elimination of some departments[4].

  8. Advancing controversial policies such as restricting abortion access, changing immigration policies, and altering climate and economic approaches[4].

The project aims to have a fully developed plan and vetted personnel ready to implement conservative policies immediately upon a Republican president taking office in 2025[2][5].

They rely on us thinking, "at least they're better than the awful Liberals" and "hopefully ... " Just look at the facts. Liberals & NDP drag us closer to the cliff of destruction, and the Conservatives don't turn us away from it, they only slow down the acceleration. Look, I may end up voting CPC if PPC or a new patriot party is not running in my riding, but I'm not expecting any "hopefully".

Too bad Conservative Party is just the other wing of the same bird (Northern Uniparty). However, it shows that even Canadians who skew left have had enough of leftist policies.

3-day with a hyphen. Sorry, couldn't help myself. However, banning people for correcting stuff is not cool. Personally, I think we lose credibility if we can't use proper grade-school spelling, punctuation, and grammar. People can curse the government schools all they like, but if we try to educate each other properly, people get annoyed and offended.

Of the 9 men that were accused of raping the girl, only 1 was convicted. The woman who sent the mean messages was sentenced to a weekend in jail (not prison), and thus served more time than the men who were acquitted. The article & post title make it sound like she went to prison for longer than men who were convicted of rape.
The details of the story spell out a horrendous, heinous crime, which was followed by multiple gross injustices. However, putting a misleading spin on the story doesn't help the cause of Truth and Justice. The actual facts are disgusting enough to stand in embellished.

Olympics doesn't actually care about fairness. What they are concerned about is losing viewership, which decreases the value of megacorporation sponsorships. You look at what female athletes are made to wear, which female sports get primetime airplay (it sure won't be weightlifting) and it's abundantly clear where the IOC and the world associations of various sports stand.

Yeah, when I realized I couldn't actually marry my hottie of a kindergarten teacher, I told the prettiest girl in my kindergarten class she was my girlfriend, put my arm around her shoulder at story time, and that was that. I didn't know about sex, but I definitely had a heterosexual orientation when I was no more than 5.

I think the implication of the post is that we would not be able to know until it's revealed, and it will be somewhat of a shocker. My three top guesses are AI, JFK Jr., and Barack Obama (plot twist, he was a white hat all along! LoL!)
