It's mostly the pampering and pandering. Reminds me of why I don't go to meetings.
Most of (but not all) of the Indians in IT are "yes-men". Combination of childhood training, social conformity, and self-preservation. Most of the Indians that don't fit that mold often have to leave the country or start their own enterprise.
Add to this the cut-throat education system in India (I've studied with these people), and you have people that are scared of their shadow.
I actually don't hate them, I just pity them.
Sri Lankan here. We have a pretty good information-technology industry in the country. The Indian government attempted to do something at the diplomatic level called CEPA (Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement). If it passed, it'd make movement between Sri Lanka and India for workers simpler.
Both our and the Indian government had to drop the agreement when the IT industry gave them hell for it.
I remember the 60 minutes segment about how Indian IT workers were being trained to replace US workers and it pissed me off. As far as I'm concerned, you did the right thing.
Additionally: Our relationship with India is like the US's relationship with England; they're the big brother that we both look up to because we're descended from them (actually current Sri Lankans are a mix of the native population and various Indian ethnicities, despite the natives existing), but also the big brother that annoys us to hell by trying to claim us as one of their own (Sri Lankans do not like being thought of as being part of India). India is also part of the reason our country had a 30 year civil war (RAW, I'm looking at you), which is also the reason we're in such dire straits today. So, love-hate.
I read this, and I can only laugh. There are so many parallels between what is stated here and what is taking place in my country of Sri Lanka.
Same tactics, same people.
Deep state is worldwide boys. Brace on.
You are partially right. But as a Sri Lankan, there's more to this. This is (I can argue) the textbook example of a kleptocratic government that functions to nurture itself at the absolute tortuous expense of the people.
I am not european and this angers me. They are absolutely pompous in their pride.
May the Lord vaporize these people into oblivion.
Sri Lankan here. You're wrong unfortunately.
There is no president's party. The current president is the equivalent of Bye-dumb, and people who voted for him are regretting it.
There is no opposition party either. The entire political establishment of the country has been in it for themselves completely since we gained independence in 1972, and started screwing the country over since 1948 when we became a dominion.
We've had no diesel for a month now: all our public transport that isn't state owned has dropped to 12% running and now announces that they can no longer run. To add insult to injury, gas prices have skyrocketed, and the three-wheels that remain have to hike their fares to earn a profit.
We've had electricity cuts of 10 hours daily while politicians have 24x7 power despite racking unpaid electricity bills in the millions.
We've had interrupted water supplies and the government is now forcing people to pay for the water supply for their children's schools, while politicians have unpaid water bills in the millions.
The ruling president's family has billions in USD stored in offshore accounts. One of which would be enough to feed the entire country for 10 years. The ruling president has been leasing (selling rights actually) to land owned by the army, poor farmers and sometimes regular citizens (under their nose) to China, India, the United States, and multiple NGOs.
There have been extrajudicial killings and kidnappings of people critical of the government in "white vans" and harassment by state intelligence and special forces. The state intelligence, police and army forces, and special forces are more or less boot-lickers of the government.
People like me that refuse to get vaccinated are not allowed to leave our house from April 30th.
The opposition has been no better, they've had similar levels of corruption.
The political class in Sri Lanka is not a government; it's a ruling class.
The protests are not about a current government, the current president, the current prime minister, etc. They're about a corrupt ruling party that has and continues to enrich themselves off the average person.
Their families live in complete affluence. And the most important posts in government are completely one family:
- President: Gotabhaya Rajapaksha
- Prime Minister: Mahinda Rajapaksha (his brother)
- Finance Minister: Basil Rajapaksha (another brother)
- Presidential Chief-of-Staff: Yoshitha Rajapaksha (nephew)
- Minister of Youth (which never existed till the Rajapakshas took power): Naamal Rajapaksha (nephew).
Naamal Rajapaksha recently did a number and made a "Paradise Visa" for Maldives (which we see very little tourism from). The ceremony for it at Ratmalana cost taxpayers 5 Mil. and the project was scrapped not three days later. The rest of the money: gone.
Poor people are starving because the cost of living has gone up, but there's no shortage of money to finance highways to Jaffna. The president et al, they get a huge commission from every public work. Even middle-class people are having a hard time. Self-employed people are screwed because of power cuts. I (an IT worker) am having to rely on battery bays to get my work (for a very important IT infrastructure of the country) done. Telecommunication beacon towers are having to drop down from 4G to 2G because there's not enough diesel to power the generators at full power. State intelligence is ping-sweeping our phones for locations and recording conversations.
Provocateurs of the president's SIS (a la Jan 6th) infiltrated the first protest and made it violent, resulting in tear gas and water cannons. The president used that as an excuse to go into emergency law (he can effectively arrest and charge anyone without a court) and curfew on 3rd (when people were going to protest devoid of political party support).
As we're speaking people made the government try to save face by shifting the problem on the cabinet and asking them to resign, the proceeded to replace them with more idiots. The idiots that resigned are now jumping ship and leaving the country. But people want the entire political establishment out.
TL;DR Shitstorm of epic proportions. The ruling class is in panic, and doing everything they can to keep rebellion at bay. They're failing and attempting martial law. There is no deep-state, there are no white-hats, everything is a uniparty.
End Rant.
I think both Nagasaki and Hiroshima had the highest concentration of Christians before the nuke. Kind of like a planned extermination of the one thing that could have saved the country from the materialistic (work work work) mess it is in now.
Also a huge sacrifice of Christians.
Haven't been able to substantiate but would be interested...
No, not even close. Does more than vitamins.
Sri Lankan here. About a few months before this Covid thing there was a severe "shortage" of Turmeric.
That's laughable because we (every ethnicity actually) in this country dump turmeric in every curry we make.
As of now it costs about 200% more than it used to be.
Clearly planned. The lower income families can't afford to pay that much for a small packet of Turmeric. All the well-off people can.
Demonic cunts.
Who knows? FWIW, most of the people getting shot here are saying the shot just feels like water.
But then again our government is absolutely corrupt, so I suppose a few shots of water here and there will happen. Especially so when the person in charge of it admits it.
Good eye. But, no. This is just a stylized form of the first character 支. Of the last two strokes at the bottom the first is done normally, but continued and made into the second stroke.
Food for thought: there is a book that explores Biblical events and their presence in Chinese characters. A lot is speculative and probably not accurate, but good read regardless.
Burn in Hell.
Depends. In a Sinovac land here too.
I'd trust a conventional vaccine that uses a deactivated virus.
What I don't trust, is that I need a vaccine for a disease with a high survival rate.
And I sure as fuck won't trust a vaccine made by the same people that made the virus. Especially from a totalitarian country like PRC.
It's been made mandatory for us to carry vaccine cards here for "public places", but I'm not taking it in fuck.
If Indonesia is to be taken example, we're going to see a lot of trouble when the side-effect deaths start kicking in.
Australians. I want you to drag this mother-fucker out of his cushy office, empty his bank account, buy gold with it, heat it up and pour it down his throat.
Let's see how he likes it then.
I am beyond angry with these mother-fuckers.
Same goes for the "Police", kick their pudgy stomachs in until they vomit out their 70 kilos of hamburgers and start spitting blood.
Zero forgiveness.
It did say that vaccination status won't be asked.
Beautiful.
Isn't his application of the post number decodes inconsistent at some times?
Agreed.
I've been told by people working in hospitals (Sri Lanka) that they've seen PCRs with cycles in the 200s.
General incompetence or malice? I don't know. But our people do have a zero-resistance to government, even if it's raping you.
Sinopharm and Sinovax is inactivated virus.
But don't let that fool you. Indonesia got breakout infections, and I'm thinking my country is next to learn things the hard way.
He's got so many things wrong that I stopped listening to him after a while. His planewatching might be on point, but everything has been a crash and burn.
Who knows, he may be being fed wrong info. I give anyone the benefit of the doubt given the circumstances.
We certainly have a choice. But that choice is not free of consequences.
On one side is the temporary wrath of the demon.
On the other, the eternal wrath of God.
There isn't one.
I'm drawing the conclusion from the fact that the anti-Christ is diametrically the opposite of Christ and flaunts it.
Since the anti-Christ wants to be worshiped as god, and the way of submission to it is to take the mark, we will be explicitly (maybe the correct word is intentionally) denying Christ and God (according to the ten commandments).
God himself allows us the choice of him or the devil. The devil does the same, he can't put the mark on you unless you agree to take it.
I am open minded. Also note that I am not saying the vaccine is the mark, but we are seeing how the Antichrist can get people to take it.
That is great. And I say the same thing. I'm willing to have my idea challenged as well.
Absolutely. Unfortunately, this mentality also exists in our country as well.
We have a joke here about Sri Lankans (the Sinhalese especially): in hell each ethnicity has their own pit with it's own demonic guard. The Sinhalese one doesn't have or need a guard; the people inside always pull back anyone that tries to escape the pit.
