Winning hearts and minds requires the target to be unsure, non-committal to ideology. Once they're brainwashed into the system, something remarkable has to happen for that programming to momentarily break. That cannot be predicted and the more you try to convince someone their whole paradigm is wrong, they will double down to prove you wrong.
I hate using cliches, but "normies" who have already bought into the BS can only break out by themselves by an event directly affecting them that alliws the disconnect to happen. Then is when you can step in.
