It’s cool to see how far you’ve come! Just skimmed over some of the Podcast. Awesome work!
Been brought a long way from the quiet one I met a long time ago!
Do not stay in that position. Jesus’s whole point was community. Is you want to go fast, go alone, but if you want to go far, go together!
What is this a .jpeg for ants?
I’m out of the loop. I don’t have a lot of time season. Can someone fill me in on this 2000 mules. Or point me where to go?
Hello again! As I said earlier, I am so glad you replied with thorough honesty.
First I just want to say, We agree! I can't stand religion also! I am someone who has been burnt by man-made cultures, rules and laws as well. Being honest, not every church or believer is like the ones you've encountered. It's hard at first to find genuine believers because true faith is so foreign to the social world. One thing I can say through my experience and from experience of what I've seen from people around me. Christ Transforms People. It is a heart issue.
Now with that said, The Bible doesn't teach us to follow laws, and chant sayings, and perform deeds. That type of faith is dead. The Bible teaches us about Jesus Christ. It teaches us about Love. True Love. The Love that God has for You. He broke the barriers of Heaven, Earth, and Hell to restore a connection with you, u/mooseface2.
Think about it like this. 2 Corinthians 3 has a famous section where we get the verses "Where the Spirit of the Lord is, There is Freedom." Awesome! Just think about that. Freedom! Not Slavery. Free Choice, not Compulsion. Free Will, not Determinism. That same section in Corinthians compares two ways of life. The Law and the Spirit. The Law is everything that Moses gave the People of Israel. He gave them the rules to follow in order to be Holy. In order to Follow God. Not a single person was able to completely follow that. Everything person that was ever alive fell short and failed to be blameless before God. Except One.
Romans 6:23 states that "the Wages of Sin is death, but the God give the Gift of everlasting Life through Jesus Christ." WOW. Let's think about that for a second. The first part. Every sin equals death before the Lord. God is a righteous Judge. He makes sure all injustices will be corrected. Every sin must be paid for. Every single one. In God's Eyes, there is no difference of sin. Did you break the law? Yes? Then there must be a penalty paid. (Now we can't properly argue that punishments vary more beyond that because they happen after death and judgement.) But we know for certain. God will cast out all those with sin.
Think about this way. A person can tell the truth 10,000 times, but the moment they tell a single lie... they become a liar. Sin is like that. You can do the correct thing 10,000 times but one sin makes you a sinner. In all honesty. I am a sinner. I big one, God has made me aware of so much Sin in my life, there was nothing I can do about it. But this does not mean life is Hopeless.
The second part of that verse gives us that hope! God has given you a free gift. How do you take a gift? Think about it. There is a gift with your name on it on a take. How do you make it yours? You have to grab it! Every single person has to make the choice to pick up the gift. Every one of us. The gift is salvation. Redemption of Sins. The ability to commune with God.
Jesus is always waiting and looking for us to pick up that gift. Revelations 3:20 quotes Jesus saying this. "Behold, I stand at the door and Knock. All who hears my voice and lets me in. I will come in and Dine with them and they will dine with me." Wow. Another amazing one. Have you ever imagined that YOU can dine with God? What would that even be like... Imagine a big table with placeholder ingrained with my name right next to Jesus and all my relatives. All of them being so excited and merry, and happy to be there, and happy to see me there. Jesus is knocking on your door. He knocked at my door. When I am going through a season of stubbornness, sometimes I'm hearing knocking louder.
Based on your replies, and background, I'm going to ask. Have you ever opened the door? Have you ever Let Jesus in and dined with him? I'm not talking about taking communion, or going to confession, or doing some other religious practice. I'm talking about walking to the table where Jesus is sitting at saying "Okay Look, I'm here...." Then spilling out your heart to him, troubles, sin and all. He is waiting at the table for you. He was waiting at the table for me. He is always there, anytime, any moment, any place. Wanting to speak to you. Wanting to guide you. Wanting to give you peace. Wanting YOU to take up that gift.
Again, I'm going to give you the benefit of the doubt and assumed you have. Great, then I want to encourage you to READ the Bible. That is the Word of God. That is a way God Speaks to us all. He also can speak to us in a lot more ways than you would think.
Now, if you haven't. Well fren, then today I would encourage you to open the door. Let Jesus in, Ask him to come and Dine with you. Walk up to the table with your gift that has your name on it, AND Take it. It's already been paid for, with the Blood of Jesus when He was Crucified.
Please, if you have more questions let me know. I and others would be happy to help. Also if you don't mind. Tell me, what were your emotions reading this?
Hey. Thanks for the encouragement. The Prayer Garden peeps are super chill, I just don’t have enough time to regularly commit and attend their events. My real life ministries picked up. I try to remember to bring Love and Peace to the online mission fields when I can.
My username has a few figures of speech tied to it. It alludes to a Phoenix, definitely. I had a .win account when it started, but the message history had info that I was afraid of being Doxxed on, so I remade this account because I wanted to still engaged. The rising from the ashes of the old account. Also Phoenix symbolism also has ties to Christianity. Themes of Resurrection, and rebirth very much allude to our Hope of the cross. I remember reading about early Christians circles using the Phoenix as some symbols/evangelical tool connection.
And also there is a pun of ashes. Very much sounds like another word. I very much rely on personal speaking skills/ on the spot adaption for my profession. So there is also that play on the axiom pulling “outta my ***” Lol. Hopefully that doesn’t ward off.
I am so glad you replied! Thank you for being so honest with your answer. I am going to work on replying to you in a better and longer message to continue out discussion.
It’s late and I am on my phone. I tried typing a message before and I lost all progress because my phone refreshed the page. I’m going to keep what you said in prayer and reply to it tomorrow.
May you experience a Peace today that makes this day feel lighter and better than any day so far. Amen.
/u/slechta5614 u/jtap how would you approach this answer?
Hmm. I like that inquiry. Awesome that you spoke up. So I want to understand your point of struggle clearly. Are you asking, how do we know someone (Roman or Disciples) did not move away the tombstone, and hide Jesus?
Sure let’s talk about that. Now I have a few questions for you, because it will help me better construct clearer feedback. Would you mind answering the following the best that you can?
-
How familiar are you with the Gospels? Have you read all four?
-
Do you regularly read the Bible? If so, which portions?
-
What is your prayer life like? Frequency and subjects you pray about?
-
Do you have any anger directed at God or authority figures for anything?
If you could answer those, I can help you a bit better. Now let me try to answer the topic at hand. It would be best to continue asking questions and keep up the Dialogue until you feel satisfied.
Now, the Gospels speak of the Resurrection. Everyone adds a piece to the Story. The end of Matthew and Mark mention that an Angel of the Lord is sent to women who went to the tomb. The Romans soldiers were under orders to watch the tomb for the very reason you suggest. Jesus was a wanted man. Now the Angel gives unto an account of how this happens. The women where there to clothes Jesus in oils and spices to preserve the body. The Jewish tradition had a custom where they waited three days, before they added oils and spices for their decomposition ritual. They were a belief that the soul lasted in a body for three days. Remember the story of Lazarus? Was 4 days and his relatives were upset it was passed the 3 day period etc. The point is the women went to pay their respects to the body. And the tomb was empty.
Okay great, now you are at your conclusion. The conspirators took it!
But the Gospels continue and provide stories of Jesus Glorified, Risen, speaking to disciples. We have Jesus passing thru walls (John), and Jesus being touched by Thomas (John 21). There were many accounts that saw Jesus, Risen in His Glorified state. Recorded in the Gospels.
Read Luke. Luke was a Doctor at the time, and learned a lot of information from personal testimonies. He was not around Jesus at all, but we have such detailed accounts. He was respected at the time as a smart man/ notetaker because of His profession. Luke is very attentive to detail.
I recommend spend time reading the accounts recorded in the Gospels. It will paint the story for you better.
Now if your question “how can we know that the Gospels are Trustworthy” then that requires another set of answers.
That’s so strange. Twitch went on to ban that term because it was offense to the left
The trolls just keep getting better and better. Just look at the username.
In the Authority given to Believers by Christ. I take command over this ear ache and command you to begone! Ringing stop. Pain release. Fear diminish. Anger subsided. You are not welcomed in Crunchy_Bites any longer! Be healed in Jesus Name! Be at Peace.
Arise Lord! Arise Jesus! Show them how Alive You truly are! Power!!
““Then the kingdom of heaven will be like ten virgins who took their lamps and went to meet the bridegroom. Five of them were foolish, and five were wise. For when the foolish took their lamps, they took no oil with them, but the wise took flasks of oil with their lamps. As the bridegroom was delayed, they all became drowsy and slept. But at midnight there was a cry, ‘Here is the bridegroom! Come out to meet him.’ Then all those virgins rose and trimmed their lamps. And the foolish said to the wise, ‘Give us some of your oil, for our lamps are going out.’ But the wise answered, saying, ‘Since there will not be enough for us and for you, go rather to the dealers and buy for yourselves.’ And while they were going to buy, the bridegroom came, and those who were ready went in with him to the marriage feast, and the door was shut. Afterward the other virgins came also, saying, ‘Lord, Lord, open to us.’ But he answered, ‘Truly, I say to you, I do not know you.’ Watch therefore, for you know neither the day nor the hour.” Matthew 25:1-13 ESV
This story is for the Church. Those who are prepared, equipped, and ready will be at the feast! The Lord of the Harvest needs obedient willing workers. Have you ever worked with a team before? Doesn’t the team talk and work together, reminding them of ought to be done? The 5 virgins without oil, weren’t clueless, they knew, they saw the 5 virgins get prepared. They chose NOT to follow along, in their foolishness, pride, disobedience.
Prepare yourself! Be willing for service in the Kingdom of God. For He is coming, and He is bringing work to the laborers! Are you prepared?
May all the churches repent, and be willing, to Do the Lord’s work!
Arise Jesus! Arise!
Jesus, disperse your Peace! Jesus, release your healing! Peace of God, Arise! Flood this place with your warming embrace! Amen!
Pepe the Meme Frog When we post him, we feel great. Liberals cry in pain.
The rejected Jesus. The Bible is very clear that Jesus is God. John 1, Colossians 1, Revelations, and much more.
In Acts 7, Stephen calls them saying explicitly that they have rejected the Holy Spirit at every instance.
Ever since that Philosopher’s stone shit the other day.. I’ve been having connections made from media and hidden revelations like crazy.
Pharisees and Sadducees where the “knowledge keepers” during the time of Christ. They would be the ones with direct knowledge of Solomon’s findings. Now I need to look back at their dialogue and see if there is hidden context alluring to the secret knowledge.
My dude, I’m loving this thread. If all knowledges is Birthed from God. Then cant we approach God for more knowledge? Or what is to say a new dispersal of the Knowledge given before?
Essentially going back to the source and skipping this distributor.
Signs and wonders will accompany those who Believe.
don't forget about The Houston Astro's in the World Series.
Hey I need some help finding some Info from the Clinton Era in the 90s.
I remember B. Clinton saying that “Rwanda is not of American issue.” Which lead to the U.S. turning away from the genocide in the 90s. Does anyone know what I’m talking about?
