"Elon Musk, astronaut. A man barely awake.
Gentlemen, we can rebuild him. We have the technology. We have the capability to make the world's first basedonic man. Elon Musk will be that man. Better than he was before. Better -- stronger -- baseder." - The 8 Dollar Man
Someone on PDW posted a twatter screenshot of a dude saying that Kevin McCarthy and Paul Ryan are behind the push for DeSantis in 2024, and that Trump's comment at the rally was to let them know that he knows. 🤔
My phone broke a little over 2 years ago, and I decided to wait until new iphone release before replacing it. After a couple months, I was so happy without a phone that I never got a new one. Phone free and fabulous. (I do keep a cheap prepaid in the glovebox in case of emergency)
Thanks for relisting them, I missed Mr_A's the first time around. It's now my favorite. 😃
Edit: I liked penisse's choices, and the back and forth convo. Let the man eat his bacon shrimp porridge! Plus, bonus points for Zappa.
A. Beastie Boys "No Sleep Till Brooklyn" redone as "Two Weeks Til Gitmo"
B. It already was, but then the CERN nerds had a party and Mandela'd it out of existence. Some of us still remember though. It was glorious.
C. It's actually a team of A.I. clones, codenamed Aberrant Alice, that escaped from a lab in Woohaw, Chyna and went parody rogue. Don't feed dry tendies after midnight, an old chinaman warned me.
For cereal, I'd pick Freakies. Or maybe Kaboom. I've never had either, but if I'm going to have to eat mouthfuls of food coloring, I really want to punish myself, like cereal-self-flagellation. It will serve as a painful reminder of why I don't eat cereal. Also, one has a clown, and that's fun.
For song, I dunno if new-agey stuff counts, but if it does I'd pick something off Steven Halpern's 1976 magnum opus Spectrum Suite. Doesn't matter which song, they all sound alike anyway. I used to meditate using his music, so 50 times repeated wouldn't be difficult. Otherwise, maybe Eddie Murphy's Party All the Time song for maximum pain. Written and produced by Rick James!
In 1991, FBI-protected mob boss Whitey Bulger "won" the lottery. $14 million!
His younger brother, Billy, was the longtime president of the Massachusetts senate.
The lottery win had been another one of Bulger’s brilliant schemes to launder his drug, extortion, and loan-sharking money. Back in the summer of 1991, a winning Mass Millions lottery ticket had been purchased at the South Boston Liquor Mart by Michael Linskey, who was the brother of a Bulger underling named Patrick Linskey. The FBI had learned that once Whitey heard about the jackpot, he ordered the real winner to sign the ticket over, with Whitey and two associates paying $2.3 million cash for 50 percent of the winnings. Bulger himself paid Michael Linskey $700,000. Although Linskey lost money in the deal, he really had no choice. It came down to selling the ticket or risking his life.

Is this the article you mentioned?
Headlined by Michael Flynn, Roger Stone and Eric Trump, the ReAwaken America Tour co-opts Christian language and worship to push profane politics designed to undermine our democracy. As a Baptist minister who previously ministered in Branson, I cannot sit quietly by as they peddle their false gospel.
It's boilerplate soy reeeeeing by someone impersonating clergy to lead people astray. DNC/uniparty talking points disguised as a sermon. His previous article, 10 months ago, was pro-mask-mandate for schoolchildren, so that tells you everything. I'd check his crawlspace for missing Missouri kids.
Considered them, but they're just so oogly and smell really bad.
I might opt for one of those creepy Mariana Trench fish, like an anglerfish, just so I could explore what's down there in the deep. They're super ugly, but it's too dark for anyone to notice and make fun of me.
If anyone has a cat with kidney problems and needs low phosphorus food, I found a website that has a list of foods and their phosphorous/protein/sodium levels.
It only has US brands, unfortunately.
I'm no expert on him, but my personal belief is that he was poisoned over a long period, possibly with mercury or some drug, so he'd be manageable by handlers. He supposedly had ties to the CIA. Also, strangely enough, he was knee deep in Mormons towards the end of his life. One-sixteenth of his fortune was left to the Mormon Church. There's an old NYT article from 1976 that chronicles oddities surrounding his death two weeks prior. Hughes' life and death is an interesting rabbit hole that leads to more questions than answers unfortunately.
Edit: all of the wills presented after his death were forgeries, and Hughes' estate wasn't settled until 2010. There were also rumours that he faked his own death.
I love a nice big glass of warm ham.
Trump said last year that "'antiquated' campaign finance regulations preclude him from making an official announcement." So I think he's just waiting until after the midterms, so all his PAC money can go to people he supports. I am not familiar with the campaign finance laws, so dunno.
