Cubans. They have to work harder to subvert the children of actual survivors of Communism.

Hmm, quick number bullshittery...

A = number of restaurants opening

B = number of restaurants closed over ten years (a.k.a. fail after opening)

0.9A + (0.9 * 0.1A) = B

0.9A + (0.09A) = B

0.99A = B

Quick reminder, is 99% a subset of "98%+"? Or should I ask someone in the industry?

Their little arms folded...

I can't wait to hear how the next new way to prevent the spread of COVID is straitjackets.

I have a relative who used that "my kids are salt and light to the unsaved in the schools" line. All of his kids are living in sin right now.

That might sound plausible, right up until you look at the probabilities.

What are the odds that a person who managed to steal her identity by some clever and heretofore undetected means, would be stupid enough to inform her of it by buying something idiotic with her credit card and mailing it to her office, creating national news and risking being prosecuted to the fullest extent?

This is interesting. I just did some research and, from what I can tell so far, organ-transplant experts (including the American Society of Transplantation) generally caution against getting a COVID vaccine for at least one month post-transplant. They would like you to get it two weeks ahead, but...they have no data on the interaction of transplants and the vaccine. All they can say is "It should be all right, we guess?" and hope that you'll sign up for Johns Hopkins' current study to confirm it after it's already too late.

This isn't science.

More like "Do no harm--but make sure you redefine 'harm' to exclude anything you want to do."

Those doctors are good people, but they need to tell their nurses to STFU more often.

It's not that they misunderstood you. It's that they don't want to do themselves out of the possibility of being worshiped as the Most High.

Or maybe they are most high. I dunno, this is clown world.

The reason I find the black hat theory so improbable is that the people who would have to be the bad guys are malignant narcissists. They won't take a fall because it's beneath their dignity, especially when it means they have to endure being mocked and ignored by the peasants over things that are actually true of them.

Narcs cannot take the injury to their self-image.

You mean, when all the historical record and evidence against the enemy gets flushed?

I understand she's your friend and you want to assign her the best motivations, but...it's possible it's because she wants to keep getting her nails did, and if she doesn't see it, it doesn't exist.

Yeah, but it was drawn up by Democrats, and you know how they are about individual rights and liberties.

Did you walk barefoot in the snow, uphill both ways, to get to school?

"Country" is a Western idea. You think they believe they have anything in common with most of the other people?

I have a problem with the bottom center image. If you go back and look at men held as manly back in the Good Old Days, they didn't strip their body fat and hair so that you could see their individual muscle groups. Most of the healthy people I know aren't ripped. Prettiness over purpose, and it tends to remind me of how far we've slid away from those days.

That's aside from my problem with the upper-left image, but I'm sure it's going to be covered by someone else.

"The world will be Eden"? You think that breaking Soros' cabal will instantly eliminate all sin in the hearts of men, and God will restore a world where we don't even have to wear clothes, much less work for a living, and nobody dies?

I'm all about hopium, but the idea that the world will resolve into harmonious perfection if only we do the One Weird Revolution Trick is something I leave to delusional leftists.

I was going to ask "if there's freedom in every shot, how many do I need to take to stop paying taxes?", but I realized it could be as few as one.

Because I remembered a quote from Dragonheart: "I said death would be a release, not a punishment."
