Some years ago I saw a similar reference to the Jubilee.

Jubilee is a Jewish law that every 49 years (seven times seven) all debts are forgiven. The slate is set to zero.

Probably was a mechanism intended to prevent unending debt slavery.

Unfortunately, it was hard to put into practice. No one is going to lend money the year before jubilee, since you'd never get paid back.

I think the argument hinges on if we somehow manage to fix the voting fraud system then the resulting elections would speak for themselves.

Problem is... do you see this getting fixed?

A good journalist? What's that?

Yes, sir. Arizona was one of the sites of the 2020 steal. Imagine a governor who is REALLY interested in getting to the bottom of it?

Here's a question.

Okay. Let's say Trump runs for Congress. He finds a nice district and wins easily.

Okay. Now he's in Congress. Let's go further and say the Republicans take the House as well.

How do we know they would make him Speaker and not McCarthy?

It's not like he's loved by the GOP. They worked hand in hand with the Dems in the Steal.

Okay.... and they sat on it for two years? To the point we're pretty screwed even if Biden magically left today?

It's an interesting idea, though my concern is Trump may have too big an ego for another big name on the ticket.

But what I want to know is this: What prevents them from stealing 2024?

There was a fascinating opinion on this by Dennis Prager, one which I think fits thematically with the Bible.

One thing the Bible does is it draws distinctions between life and death, male and female, holy and unholy, good and evil.

The first example is creation where G-d separates light from darkness, land from sea, etc.

And with the word "know" in the Bible meaning sexual intercourse -- or mingling -- the fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil -- knowledge -- might be the opposite of what we usually believe.

It's not that the fruit allowed Adam and Eve to see the difference between good and evil. It was the opposite. It made them confused, so that good looked evil, evil looked good. (Woe to those, say the prophets).

Prager's observation on milk and meat was rather profound. He observed that milk is a food that the mother gives to the child -- and still remains alive herself. It's a "life" food.

Meat, on the other hand, requires the death of the animal in order to provide that meat. A "death" food.

Hence, part of the separation was not to intermingle life and death -- i.e. Milk and Meat.

Ugh, you made me look it up. I recalled insects being forbidden under kosher laws, but forgot about locusts.

So... I found this.... and it's a little TMI.

Assuming Jesus kept Kosher (And I never heard that he hadn't) then he never would eat bugs.

Bugs aren't kosher.

Don't see it on Amazon. From a quick glance at Goodreads, looks like it's a long winded attack on the Talmud.

Whoop de do.

G-d issued two Torahs at Sinai.

The Oral Torah and the Written Torah.

The Mishnah records the Oral Torah.

The Talmud are conversations of applications. That's all it is. Nothing demonic. Debates, fables, and questions of minute applications of law.

You want to be cursed, then spit on the stock of Abraham. Genesis 12:3 says that's the way to be cursed by G-d.

Well, if Judaism is a satanic religion, then since Jesus was a Jew, I guess you worship the devil incarnate.

You people are such shits.

Yeah, that's part of what makes it such a memorable scene.

the Bible condemns male homosexuality in much stronger terms than lesbianism. Lesbianism is forbidden too, but the restrictions against it are not as stringent as the abomination linked to male homosexuality.

Why? There are plenty of guesses. One is that male homosexuality is more destructive to humanity. Another relates to cultures like the ancient Greeks with "a woman for children and a boy for pleasure" where married men would leave their wives alone at home so they could chase boys.

What we're seeing today is insane. It's past compassion. It's clearly recruiting.

Whereas now you can copy/paste that, they actually did each separate sheet in the movie.

Putting to rest the idea that the New York Times gives an F about Jews....

In a sense it isn't. Life is a free gift from the Lord, and one day he will request it back.
