I am Orthodox, we have all the books of the Bible. Our Sister Church the Tewahedo Orthodox Church has more books than us which is fine, they include all the books of Enoch.

The Roman Catholics who the Protestants came from also lack all the Books of the Bible. If you look at the first proposed list for the canonical books you will find almost all of the ones we use in the Coptic Church.

The Protestants actually cut out a lot of the Bible, which is really sad. Sola Scriptura is a heresy that promotes your own interpretation of the Bible and not what was handed down by Christ himself.

Technically it is a Roman Catholic thing as they are the reason for the current calander being used. I am Coptic Orthodox and we celebrate Christmas on January 7th as we use the old calander.

As someone who is Coptic and Muslims have killed Copts for generations I can say it isn't so much Islamic Terrorism as it is that is what Islam is at its core. Islam is a brutal religion that your either a slave or killed when they take over your country. What's more new age is the "tolerant" Muslims. Those don't exist.

Also as for the war in Iraq, Saddam Hussein was a decent leader, he just didn't bend the knee to the American Terrorist is all. Under his leadership Orthodoxy thrived there and he kept those Islamic "extremists" at bay, he was very fond of the Coptic Church and "doted" on them which the Islamic leaders didn't like. He was shortly deposed of under falls allegations of weapons of mass destruction.

I am glad you assumed I was proukraine or pro their government. Again I do not approve of any war. But it is pretty leftist to make that kind of assumption just because I disagree with one thing you act like I must agree with the other thing.

I don't approve of any war, and I don't know how much is propaganda or truth but Putin is reported to have attacked civilian buildings with claims of them housing soldiers or shelled areas. This coupled with the fact Ukraine is reported to be innocent is why some people think he is wrong for what he is doing.

What I don't understand is why can't people see this issue with Russia and Ukraine goes back further than recent times. America is 100% to blame for this war, America does the same thing that Russia has done but with middle eastern countries yet America wasn't sanctioned like it should be. It's because America is in control of the Ol Boys Club.

Personally outside the fact there is a war going on I am disgusted with the Russian Orthodox Priests who are burning books and objects of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church and they should be stripped of their priesthood. It isn't a preists place to be vengeful or political. Not to mention both Churches were family for so long before the internal schism happened.

This is so weird, I just scrolled past a post saying he was doing better and now this post saying he passed away. It's just weird how quickly things can change, how finite human life is and how even the next moment isn't assured. I have some thinking to do now. May the Lord repose his soul.

June 1st is Global Coptic Day. I am always happy to celebrate June, it also commemorates the Holy Families flight to Egypt.

They once put my kid in a lockdown like that I usually never go to her school her dad pickes her up for some reason I went that day there were several of us at the front doors demanding to know where our kids where. I stated multiple times they were holding my child against her will and this was illegal imprisonment.

Ever since I had gotten involved with DCF I have a bit of paranoia in me when it comes to things like the police or her public school. I went as far as calling the police demanding they let her go.

Honestly it didn't make much of a difference and they kept them on lockdown till they were released, I don't know how to get my child out of that prison when they do that.

Had to log in to comment on this, I have four kids my oldest sometimes I am confused about which grade she is in, I don't drive her to school or interact much with her teachers so I couldn't tell you anything about them. It's entirely plausible that the mom doesn't know much about her grade or teachers.

The fact she called her daughter "the daughter" isn't normal at all however.

I don't think Putin is a white hat (I don't buy into the whole white hat black hat thing) I do think Putin is doing what he sees best for his country because Putin is very nationalistic which I don't think is a bad thing. He is doing exactly what the US would have done if Russia or China decided to put bases primed with weapons in Canada or Mexico right on our borders.

I am not sure if there was bombing but Russia did also get into a war with Georgia (again due to NATOs fault and them stating Georgia would become a member of NATO)
