All the normies I see are trying to use this as a defense for Russian Man bad. Its wild what they will try and twist, I know myself I am pretty addicted to facebook something I hope to correct over this coming Lent which starts Monday. And while Facebook Messenger has been great for keeping me in touch with people who are far away where is always email, I only wish our country (USA) did something about Facebook to make it cleaner and that it never got to this point.

The 10 years I was on FB (to Dec 2020) I never used messenger-instinct protection based on complaints of phone users.

Staff that "listen in" to your party line participation get their kicks. It was provided as a "service" to users. It took a few "time outs" for expressing my opinion that made me leary of ANY 'free' service FB would provide.
I use Facebook messenger to talk to priests in other countries, I have friends in Kenya, Ethiopia, the UK, Lebanon, and many other places. It's not possible for me to text some of these people due to how expensive it would be.
I don't talk about anything that is sensitive information, I use it to keep in touch with a priest who is helping me as a support system through some of my mental health issues.
