Yeah...Christianity is a con. It takes a lot of true spiritualism stuff and blends it with a psychotic religion that seeks to manipulate and control people as well as control who gets to procreate through marriages performed in accordance with the government. It takes much of what makes us who we are and calls it sin so that we are always afraid of being free...it's evil.
Yeah, that doesn't make sense, either. The idea of punishing a third party is inherently immoral, and if Jesus voluntarily died to pay for our sins, then it was a transaction...which means we ought to sin as much as possible to increase the value of his sacrifice. And btw, he was only dead for 3 days, so what was actually sacrificed? It doesn't make sense. Much of what is in Christianity does make sense, and there's more to the truth than we know, but...yeah the Jesus sacrifice isn't it. If so, then there's more to that story we aren't being told.
That's actually a very good question. What would it take to convince an atheist that something is God as opposed to some other explanation? I don't think it's possible to get that answer. There is always an alternate explanation in simulation theory. The holy spirit could just be a drug trip. There is always some alternate explanation, and so it's futile to even attempt to know whether or not God exists. That doesn't mean we should stop looking. Maybe we can know whether or not it's the alternate explanation.
There is almost nobody alive today who got married as a virgin. There is some truth to what you said though about poisoning yourself spiritually. I don't think anyone is salvageable though...so God either loves us or hates us...or just doesn't care. Nothing changes.
That's why we're better off being atheists. Dismiss everything. Then, when God comes along wanting to know why we dismissed him, show him the clusterfuck of belief systems, each more bizarre than the last. If he was a reasonable God, then he would understand.
The aliens are coupled with a mass conspiracy to keep that information secret, so it is difficult to just, as Congressman Tim Burchette would say, "pull out an alien", but there is plenty of anecdotal evidence and historical evidence and paper trails and whistleblowers to say that it is indeed real. Even the Book of Ezekiel in the Bible talks about a type of angel called ophanim, which is described as "wheels within wheels" in the sky. When you look at a 🛸 from below, you see spinning wheels within wheels (outer and inner) and glowing eyes and flaming chariots in the sky...think about how such a mechanical thing would be described 2,500 years ago. The Romans also wrote about flying Roman shields. Again...the flying saucer UFO. There is a massive coverup to hide what you think doesn't exist...so there is something significant to this. I think the angels and demons in our major religions are actually aliens. Or maybe both exist.
