I'm next door in Tennessee. Went to and through Arkansas a few times. There is a place [haven't been there in years] called Cove Lake. Man, that was a cool place to camp and fish. Good luck if you're moving out our way, you won't regret it.

Sitting here cruising the boards and I have the TV on in the background with no sound. I'm an animal lover, but it really ticks me off that the ASPCA has the gall to come on and ask for money when most of it doesn't go to saving animals, it goes to line the pockets of administrators so they can take their lavish getaways to "retreats." What a crock. I wish I had enough money to ensure that our furry friends always have a place to sleep, food, and water for every day of their lives, and all the love they deserve. 🤬

"Every bunny was kung fu fighting" - 😂 Now I've got that song stuck in my head 😅. Thanks, great job Fester, as usual.

That's an admirable goal, but I say at this point, to hell with the 6% or so.

Believe it or don't believe it, that is your choice, but this is not something to joke around about. This is the United States Marine Corps we're talking about. I've had to present Old Glory to a Marine mom whose son was blown to bits in the barracks bombing in Beirut. She lasted two weeks and then committed suicide in her garage, and her husband blew his brains all over the inside of his truck the next day. I hope to everything in the universe this isn't true. Semper Fi means Semper Fi for a reason.

The only feeling of dread I have ever really had came when I was fighting a fire when I was in the Navy. We couldn't save the guy, not to draw the story out. When we were in the midst of the whole thing, for a brief moment I got a feeling in the pit of my stomach, a dull and throbbing ache, as I realized that if we didn't get control of the beast then it would get control of us, and we would die. The fire made this screeching, sucking sound, it had a mind of its own. Now today, I got that feeling again, in the morning, and I wasn't even fighting a fire [that was 40 years ago]. I just started thinking about the country, the people, and how far we have fallen. That ache came back. I don't like that feeling. I can only hope that some higher power is watching, protecting President Trump, and that we can all live to see a New Republic with him at the helm.

Agreed. My post was not necessarily an endorsement. I'm sure President Trump is going to pick the right people when he gets back to where he belongs.

I'd watch Vivek, for some reason I think this guy's going places, but will probably end up in a cabinet position.

Never thought I would live to see the day when Van Houten was released, yet here it is. Sad commentary on society. Another example of evil now walks among us.

Yes, he was way ahead of his time, a fascinating individual.

Watched The Omen trilogy last night, again. Interesting comms throughout. I know some people aren't into that sort of thing, but it is interesting when you come at it from a [mostly] objective point of view. It got me to thinking who the ten kings of Rome were, and if they are alive today, tearing and eating the flesh of the whore of Babylon. It also sparks curiosity as to who the anti-Christ is [or was] and if all of that applies to today.

Haven't had much of a chance to check and see this morning if this has been posted, but anyway, Happy Birthday to Nikola Tesla. There's more to this guy than most people will ever know.

Dubai and Abu Dhabi. That's seriously pretty funny 😂. Thanks Fester, made my day.

Watched a movie titled Rapture last night. Interesting take on what will happen when the world ends.

I spend too much time on the damned internet anyway, so this would be a good thing, at least for me. Too depressing.

Notice at Trump's SC rally that when he retold the story of the snake, he asked her if she had heard it before [or something to that effect]? The first thing my wife and I thought of is that he knows she's bad news but is playing her like a fiddle, as he is Lyndsey Graham. He knows.

Finally watched it, and it answered a lot of questions.

I think that's the New Jersey, but it's hard to tell the markings from that shot. We did gun quarters with her off Lebanon back in '85 when I was on the Ike.

Debating whether or not to delete my Truth Social account. I don't really gain a lot by having it, and it seems more like a popularity contest than anything else. It was unique when it first started, but frankly, it has become stale. I'm more tempted to just come here to get news and to chat.

Oh, you've got to love those references to one of the best motion pictures ever made, The Hunt for Red October.

There was an officer, an ensign, on the Eisenhower when I was working in nuclear power back in the '80s - I was a lowly third class electrician in #2 plant. This guy and I were like oil and water, I never cared for him and he knew it, and the luck of the draw [plus the lack of qualified electricians] seemed to always put us together on the same watch. He was just like Vindman, only thinner. Fuck, I hated that guy and almost went to captain's mast because of him.
