This is false

Judge Walton has blocked video and audio from his courtroom

Video and audio are prohibited in federal court

You can't even take still photos of people testifying in federal court

Here's Trump in federal court https://i0.wp.com/hyperallergic-newspack.s3.amazonaws.com/uploads/2023/04/20230404_161615_resized_2-scaled.jpg?resize=1200%2C900&quality=100&ssl=1

Also I'd don't see anything about pending legal matters in the article.

He did not talk about the case.

is it a coincidence John Belushi died after hanging out with their guitar player for some crazy times in Antigua?

No. It's not only not a coincidence it's not even something that coincides.

And I think it was Bali.

They became the biggest band in the world in the span of five years.

Because their drummer's Dad was in the CIA? is that the argument?

Seems suss as heck that Phil Collins “suddenly left” Genesis in the mid-90s

What are you talking about? Suddenly?

HIs first solo album was in 1981 with the massive worldwide hit In the Air Tonight.

He was a much bigger artist than Genesis at the time. He has 150 million sold as a solo artists. It's unusual he stayed in Genesis for as long as he did.

too many to list but strange nonetheless

But lots of people have tragedies in their lives, they're just not famous enough that they pop easily into your head.

I mean your list spans 70 years of popular music worldwide. That's tens of thousands of people if not more. Several of the folks listed died of substance abuse, something that affects millions of people and something almost encouraged in the good time all the time atmosphere of rock and roll.

I also read an NPR article but it still doesn't make sense

But everything doesn't need to make sense initially to be true. Also when you read an article, it might just be the writer didn't explain it well. The writer might have been asked for 800 words by 2PM. So every detail might not go in the story.

Why would Jay be welcoming to the dudes he had a disagreement with especially when they came in through the fire escape.

all the article says is,

greeted the two men as they entered.

so we don't know really how welcoming he was. He could have What's Up Or What do you want? or whatever........or maybe he welcomed there specifically because he thought there might be trouble, trying to be smooth with them perhaps calm them down. We don't know.

I just started watching a movie where a British gangster retires to Spain and all of sudden an old friend shows up and wants him back for a job. There's a good 10-15 minutes of people trying to friendly while every sentence is filled with menace.

I didn't know the answers to your questions so I looked for more detail.

They got into the building through the fire escape, but not into where Jam Master Jay was because that was on a different floor.

On Wednesday, October 30, 2002, Mizell was present at his recording studio, “24/7,” located on Merrick Boulevard in Jamaica, Queens, playing a video game with a friend and reviewing paperwork with his business manager. At approximately 7:30 p.m., the defendants’ co-conspirator opened a locked fire escape exit door allowing Washington and Jordan to enter the building without being seen by Mizell. Jordan, who was the victim’s godson, and Washington went upstairs to the recording studio where Jordan greeted Mizell, who was sitting on the couch and initially appeared happy to see him.

https://www.justice.gov/usao-edny/pr/two-queens-men-convicted-drug-related-murder-run-dmc-dj-jason-mizell-also-known-jam

As for this

And the shooter was his Godson???

There's a good percentage of murders that happen among family members or friends. There's nothing unheard of there. They were also cocaine dealers. And murders in the cocaine trade are also not unheard of.

I mean any murder itself is unusual. So unusual details aren't too surprising.

The Fed report they base their stuff on says don't make APPLES to ORANGES comparisons using this report.

Note: The estimates obtained from the sum of our EB state estimates are not designed nor intended to be an accurate measure of national employment. Moreover, the BLS warns that, owing to statistical limitations, it “does not compile a ‘sum-of-states’ employment series and cautions users that such a series is subject to a relatively large and volatile error structure.” This caveat also applies to our EB series.

There's no connections between these two cases. Other than hip hop.

Did you read the article? the part where they said it was no mystery why they didn't convict people earlier?

He said key witnesses “were terrified that they would be retaliated against if they cooperated with law enforcement.”

what's your impressions? I listened a couple of time. I hear nothing faked.

there's a couple of dropouts that could be edits or it could just be regular interference. One part seems like they might have edited somebodies' name out, but hard to tell, there's some digital artifacts in the background...it gets electronicy.

I have done some audio work.

Things I noticed.

It seems like the voices are in different environments/different microphones. Even the main dispatcher audio is not pristine, there's some fuzz to it, like it might be recorded too high. I have a fairly decent pair of headphones.

It seems far too subtle for someone to fake. Like it's not overly dramatic. The lingo feels authentic.

This is the transcript and time stamps

Here is a transcript of audio from a Maryland Transportation Authority Police channel, revealing how officers responded to the mayday call and successfully halted traffic. The audio was posted on the Broadcastify website.

1:27:53 a.m. Speaker 1: I need one of you guys on the south side, one of you guys on the north side, hold all traffic on the Key Bridge. There’s a ship approaching that just lost their steering. So until they get that under control, we’ve got to stop all traffic.

1:28:09 a.m. Speaker 2: (inaudible) I’m en route to the south side.

1:28:13 a.m. Speaker 3: (inaudible) I’m holding traffic now. I was driving but we stopped prior to the bridge, so I’ll have all outer loop traffic stopped.

1:28:25 a.m. Speaker 1: 10-4, is there a crew working on the bridge right now?

1:28:29 a.m. Speaker 4: (inaudible)

1:28:35 a.m. Speaker 1: Got it.

1:28:37 a.m. Speaker 4: Want me to stop traffic along this side right now?

1:28:42 a.m. Speaker 1: Yeah if we could stop traffic, just make sure no one’s on the bridge right now. I’m not sure where there’s a crew up there. You might want to notify whoever the foreman is, see if we could get them off the bridge temporarily.

1:28:58 a.m. Speaker 4: 10-4, once the other unit gets here I’ll ride up on the bridge. I have all inner loop traffic stopped at this time.

1:29:17 a.m. Speaker 4: Once you get here, I’ll go grab the workers on the Key Bridge and then stop the outer loop.

1:29:27 a.m. Speaker 5: C-13 Dispatch, the whole bridge just fell down! (inaudible), whoever, everybody, the whole bridge just collapsed.

1:29:35 a.m. Speaker 6: 10-4. Dispatch is direct.

1:29:35 a.m. Speaker 4: That’s correct. (inaudible) First time.

1:29:48 a.m. Speaker 1: Do we know if all traffic was stopped?

1:29:51 a.m. Speaker 4: I can’t get to the other side, sir, the bridge is down. We’re going to have to get somebody on the other side in Anne Arundel County, M.S.P. to get up here and stop traffic coming northbound on the Key Bridge.

1:29:51 a.m. Speaker 5: C13, I’m holding all traffic northbound.

The standardized red and blue only seems to date to the 2000 election. Prior to that each network/newspaper tended to use different colors.

Here's Clinton's winning map using red. https://web.archive.org/web/20061122124004/http://www.princeton.edu/~petehill/time-election-map-1996.jpg

In 2000, the election was on hold and the MAP was on TV all the time....so some time after the elction, the networks standardized the colors and people started talked about red states and blue states.

So she definitely filed a motion for a default judgement and the judge has responded.

The judge doesn't seem to agree with the interpretation above. I read this as she as given up all her defenses.

Defendants have now consented to the entry of a default judgment. In doing so, Defendants effectively concede that they do not intend “to plead or otherwise defend” the case as provided by our rules of procedure. See Rule 55(a)(1), Arizona Rules of Civil Procedure

There's a footnote that says

It's worth noting that – pursuant to well-established Arizona law – a defaulted party loses all rights to litigate the merits of the cause of action. The defaulted party may appear in the action solely for the purpose of litigating the issue of damages

Here is the ruling. https://courtminutes.clerkofcourt.maricopa.gov/viewerME.asp?fn=Civil/032024/m10811078.pdf

CNN —

The two pilots of a mammoth cargo ship that crashed into and destroyed Baltimore’s Francis Scott Key Bridge are expected to be interviewed by authorities Thursday as crews prepare for a risky salvage mission ahead.

The captain of the Dali vessel, his mate, the ship’s chief engineer and another engineer have already been interviewed by the National Transportation Safety Board, said NTSB chair Jennifer Homendy.

I gotta think this is a giant gamble. Especially given what happened with Giuliani.

My understanding is that she is not contesting that she said what she said, and that it was defamatory.

Yeah, she is admitting defamation

instead is going straight to the hearing to determine the damages, if any.

This is the gamble. If you defame someone, you are going to pay damages almost assuredly.

because evidence of the election fraud she alleges has been controlled by her adversaries, and she cannot access the information.

But she would be entitled to discovery. She must have made specific claims and not just given a general opinion. She would be able to subpoena documents and emails and any other records.

Michael Cohen’s former legal advisor Robert Costello last year appeared before the Manhattan grand jury to set the record straight.

So this guy spoke to the grand jury. We don't know what he said, but they still indicted. He said Cohen told him he didn't want Melania Trump to know

“‘I wanted this secret. I didn’t even want my own wife to know. Much less Melania Trump,’” Costello said

The headline makes it seem like Donald Trump, not Melania

2018 Letter From Michael Cohen’s Lawyers Admitting Trump Knew Nothing About Stormy Daniels ‘Hush Money’ Transaction Re-Emerges Ahead of Trial

Gateway points to this email in the Daily Mail

The letter is to the Federal Election Commission. It's asking for the FEC to dismiss a complaint against him. It's from February

Cohen plead guilty to two illegal campaign contributions in August.

Cohen will probably say at the time of this letter I lied to the FEC. Every crime he plead guilty to involves some form of lying. Lying on his taxes, lying on his loan applications, perjury

She's requesting the default judgement? And she's the one being sued? Did she already file this? Because I think that's not good. Like I'm pretty sure that is actively bad. Rudy lost his defamation case by default.

A default judgement means you're not defending any of the charges....the same as or close to admitting the charges. Normally the person suing would request this against the defendant.

Anyone know why she would do this?

And fined something like 11 billion.

I haven't been super following this case, but the judge said he also funnelled millions to Republicans on the down low. Turns out he was hit with another superseding Indictment that laid out the scheme

This article said he used straw donors to cover his tracks.

One of his executives was from Long Island and was a big donor to the LI GOP. https://www.businessinsider.com/sbf-political-donations-2-executives-republicans-democrats-woke-prosecutors-2023-2

Bankman-Fried "did not want to be known as a left-leaning partisan, or to have his name publicly attached to Republican candidates," so he instructed two executives to donate money to certain candidates and political organizations instead, prosecutors wrote in the filing.

There's some problems with this story.

It doesn't account for the other woman and it doesn't account for the National Enquirer.

Why would the National Enquirer pay for a story about someone sleeping with Michael Cohen.

1
WHOSkiddingWhO 1 point ago +1 / -0

Where did he say that?

I looked him up, he testified to grang jury.

I see him saying stuff against Cohen, but I don't see him saying Cohen was with Stormy Daniels.

It was a cargo container ship, not an oil tanker. It was not transporting the fuel. That's what was in the gas tank.

Unbelievable numbers. I had no idea.

Those ships are generally in the 8,000- to 14,000-TEU range. Ships in that size range can carry between 2.5 million and 3.5 million gallons of fuel.
