This is kind of misleading. The black box records sensor data via a hard wired system connected to the rest of the ship. This records all of the output from the radar, steering modules, etc. But, since the power cut to the entire shit the box had to reset itself which takes around 90-120 seconds - at this time it recorded no sensor data because there was none to record, the ship lost all power. But, the box continued to record audio and visual data as well as radio data the entire time because it has an auxiliary power source.
This is how we can tell if this was a planned event, vs a real accident, just like Hillary's deleted 30,000 emails.
And they have not bothered yet to interview the local pilots who were responsible for navigating the ship out past the bridge. Sure, they're probably rehearsing what they need to say.
Finally, when the govt immediately comes out and says "it wasn't a terror event", now we know it was.

The video, as Catturd noted, clearly shows the ship traveling, the lights going out, and while power was out, the ship executed a 90 degree turn, to hit the bridge pylon (these are canoe shaped FOR A REASON) at the perfect angle to cause the bridge support structure to be knocked off the support pylon. The bridge pylons are shaped to deflect downstream collisions.
The ship changed direction, to hit the deflector at a 90 degree angle. Just happened to be a full moon - to take full advantage of tidal forces. Just happened a few days after heavy rains, which made the downstream current faster. Too many coincidences.
