Anecdotal but may give a clue- made me feel very 'ok' about ivermectin- Locally I'm friends with some fellow rabbit-raisers and we inject our rabbits with ivermectin, for parasites. Normal injection is 5mg ivermectin into a 5 lb rabbit, (sub cutaneous) per local vet. My friend somehow misread his syringe and injected about 50mg (under the skin injection) Rabbit is fine, no OD. For myself, I figured it must take an amazing amount to OD a human, but that's just my guess, based on (accidental) animal experiment.

I've always thought the answer for timing or delay is somewhere among the questions you state. Something like that, or all of the above, or since we don't know, some other nasty sick thing up the ds sleeve.

A retired teacher might help only in a subject that you have more challenge with, but this gives you a little break and introduces a variation in the schooling environment. Just an idea.
