We donated a kar to them a couple years ago. At that time they seemed okay, and we were in the middle of Kovid. I was more trusting then. At that time I didn’t know we had to be on high alert for everything. Also, my charity research skills weren’t as skilled as they are now.
Never again to that outfit.

A social worker filled out my sister’s application. She was too disabled to do it herself. Have you visited any of the services available in your town? (Also, at each one you talk to, ask them who else they’d recommend for next steps.)

It can be hard to look for help when it seems you’re facing disaster (believe me, I know!) Primal survival instincts kick in and powerful emotions (fight, flight, freeze, fawn) hijack one’s ability to think. I pray that God, who indeed is First, calms your spirit so that you can observe what’s going on rather than be damaged or defeated by it.
You are so brave to present your situation to us and ask for prayers. Among the pleasures of prayer are the helpful thoughts that can flow forth from it, and I see much good advice and many helpful suggestions gathering here already.
