They're both affiliated with Outkick Sports so the guy you're thinking of may also be affiliated with Outkick.

That is what I've been hoping for. Hubby's generally a skeptic about most things, but he bought into a lot of the covid stuff and would argue with me about it. For some reason he believes Dr. Drew more than most. He has come around since the early covid days, but maybe steering him back to the Dr Drew podcasts might help bolster his resolve.

My hubby's never been big into sports, but it usually takes a Dr. Drew or some other talking head he respects speaking on a topic to realize when I'm right about something. Very maddening. And good for him for paying attention when it mattered most.

Wonder if the sports guy your hubby listens to is Jason Whitlock. He's pretty based.

When I paid attention to sportsball I despised Colin Cowherd. This hot take doesn't change my opinion of him, but the more people who begin admitting the truth, even small truths, the more others start to feel safe admitting the same. Maybe not full on standing up to tyranny, but at least raising a hand and saying, "Wait a minute..."

That seems obvious, but why is Faux airing an ad that tells people it's wrong? I mean, I know the answer (they were complicit in the fraud), but don't they realize they're drawing attention to their own misdeeds? I really want to know who this dude in the ad was.

I'm trying to find the video, but during Fox and Friends yesterday morning (hubby watching, not me) there was a commercial that snapped my head around. It was a guy talking about election fraud and the chyron said the guy was a GOP blogger (didn't hear his name and didn't recognize him). The whole ad was him talking about how dangerous it is to claim that voter fraud was taking place. It was absolutely surreal. I'm trying to track down the ad and post it here to see if anyone knows who this tool is. I should be angrier that Faux News is gaslighting this hard, but the ad was so ham-handed I think anyone who understands the Bill of Rights would know what absolute BS this ad was.

This has been going on at the HS in our district, courtesy of the trans teacher running the GSA. Good news: The teacher was placed on indefinite leave (last update I've seen). Our school district is conservative, and many of the school teachers who teach there also grew up and went to HS there. The fact it took one teacher to create so much chaos is frightening.

I read that Kari Lake was a Fox 10 reporter. Ironic, and evil.

I'm sorry, but an apology is not enough. Until people who engage in this type of fraud are brought up on charges, this sort of thing will continue until our republic perishes. I hope Kari takes additional action against Fox 10. Even better, she could go after the AP, since Fox 10 blamed them. That could be fun.

If by plan you mean "run sane candidates who may actually make things better," then yeah, they have a plan.

Egads, I detest her.

As a side note, I think we might need "we are the news" flair. It certainly sounds like people aren't getting the news from the fake news media anymore, and they can't even hide from it.

Shocked, SHOCKED, I tell you that Larry "take the damn vaccine" Hogan has made no such proclamation either for or against, but he is on his way out. Dan Cox announced there will be no mandate once he's governor. Praying he gets swept into office on the red wave with Kari and Doug. 🙏

Maryland. And it'll be fast tracked if Oprah's chosen one is elected. He required the jab to attend his campaign events. Dan Cox winning just became that much more important

I am the same way at work. It doesn't bother me now because the faster I get out of training the faster I can go do actual work, but a couple days my HS friends struggled with the SATs even they were just as smart as I am, if not more so. It actually made me feel guilty, bit then I remember we all have different talents, and mine was test taking. Besides, one of those friends has her doctorates, so it didn't hold her back.

I always argued if you took the Mensa test and did well enough to become a member, the only thing it proved was that's you're really good at taking tests.

Thank you. Unless the MurkaDurkah reference is related, guessing it's just a random human, albeit one who made a stellar point.

girl_3 1 point ago +1 / -0

Forgive my ignorance, but the reference went over my head. Who are the Taylor and Woody you're referring to?

2
girl_3 2 points ago +2 / -0

That's just it. I was very libertarian with regards to adults being free to do what they want as long as others were not harmed. And when my more conservative friends warned that giving in to one thing will lead to taking liberties no sane person would even consider, I didn't listen. I was horribly wrong, but in my defense I didn't think for a second it would lead to what we're seeing now.

Monty Python said it best: Nobody expects the Spanish Inquisition.

It's possible Twitter's deleting those comments, or it's also possible people are suppressing the instinct to question it because they want to be respectful. On our local news alert FB page they announced the sudden death of a county firefighter who was 46. From his photo he looked to be in excellent health. Not one person brought up the jab in the comments, and the commentariat on that page are brutal. Usually though there's at least one, which leads me to believe it's likely censorship.

Oh my gosh, too cute! For the record, daytime trips to the bar with my dad were standard on Mom's shopping day. I get a lot of funny looks when I say that, but Dad was a WWII veteran, so who am I to question his babysitting decisions? 😆

The worst thing you can do is be your child's friend during their formative years. You're the grownup. It's your job to teach your kids about boundaries, morals, and the difference between right and wrong. That's why we're dealing with this idiocy.

I am too. It's up to 736, bit you're right, there should be many, many more comments.

Oh, certainly. The concern troll is real, and it is decidedly not spectacular.
