If it's like a big empty hole at a secretive mil site, then one likely possibility is an EMP test site, to test EMP resistance.
In old mil themed books, I have seen a B-52 sitting atop wooden scaffolding with dug-out surroundings for such testing. It's an outdoor makeshift isolation scheme for testing oversized items. Indoors, an anechoic chamber is used for EM testing.

Science has not demonstrated very long term (i.e. years) flu immunity. No one has. Antibodies go down after a while. Big pharma at first oversold their vaccine immunity capability and now they are talking booster jabs all the time.
Flu virus change and there are so many of them. The response is highly variable. Push yourself hard (like Army recruits etc, flu among recruits is a well known thing) and you may end up sick with flu.
So folks need to keep their immune system strong and healthy. A good long term strategy to protect yourself. (It's not immunity though, but you avoid risk of the jabs.) Work yourself to death and you will still get flu.
We don't understand the mechanism, that's all.

People can sometimes have visions of future events. Or gut feelings. Shamans have their talent to perhaps amplify such phenomena. So much anecdotal info. Mothers feeling something happened to their son who is in battle. People missing their flights for unusual reasons, then the flight crashed. Sensitives who help solve crime. Even CIA or KGB remote viewing, of which there are a lot of big claims.
Groups who manage to harness this will want to make the knowledge top secret.
