The gov noted that it had been an ongoing issue, but neglected to mention exactly how long it's been going on, and how long the state's allowed it to happen. Now the flood has provided convenient additional excuses.

Since all the wokies - who had no clue the Ukraine even existed prior to this year - jumped on the bandwagon.

The old joke about humans having "two weeks of memory..." is more like a hole in reality.

They suddenly can't remember Biden pushed the vax harder than anyone, but can remember even further back than that: "Trump bad, he rushed and pushed vaccine."

I've gotten told the same (being selfish because I had to pay) when I mention that my parents wanted to go to a well respected tech school in Upstate NY. After one year, I went broke, but still had to pay back thousands of debt in the form of student loans (at I think it was... 8%... if I'm not mistaken).

Guess what? I did it. Not gladly, but I had to eat it and couldn't bitch about it because it was my decision in the end to go.

My opinoin: You want a big name? Pay for it. Want to go to city/community college? Then we'll pay.

When I couldn't afford that school I came back home (Queens, NY) and went to a CUNY (City Univ. of NY). My finances were too fucked up to finish, but the year I did spend at CUNY was superior to that at big school. Professors that actually gave a shit, helpful admins.

I wish people stop shitting on such schools, and going for 'big name'. I bet they're better than everyone thinks, everywhere.

Edit: for comparison, again, this was the late 90's. Big tech school in Upstate NY was $23,000 a year. CUNY - $3,000.

I'm struggling to afford gas to get to work, and groceries, and now I'm being told I'll have to pay off other people's debts, because they were irresponsible.

I hate them too.

Why not? That's what our government does. Remember what had a biog part in the housing crisis about 15 years ago? People that bought houses they couldn't afford. What did the government do?

"WE'LL PAY IT FOR YOU!... (WELL, really, the taxpayers who DIDN'T buy something they couldn't afford.)"

I can hear the typical collective Reddit battle cry:

"FUCK BOOMERS. THEY DON'T WANT OUR LOANS TO BE FORGIVEN SO WE CAN BE MISERABLE LIKE THEM!!"

It's hot out here in the Mid Atlantic, but I do remember one or a few like it in my childhood (in my mid 40s now). This is all just bullshit to get those not old enough to know better to freak out.

No one's outraged because it's the Millenials and Gen "Z" getting revenge on the boomers.

First thing I noticed. All flags and insignia are banned. However the headline's gonna get a bunch of trans dude's panties in a bunch, which is what they want.

I have had cashiers refuse to take the change from me, because they were like "Nope, the computer already rang it up," and I knew right there that they couldn't figure it out for themself.

must obtain the rest of their B vitamins through supplements.

They have to be the right supplements. There are certain versions of B-12 supplements for instance that get absorbed better than others.

I always try to get what I need from various foods. I have some sharp teeth, that means Nature intended for me to tear into some meat. A hell of a lot easier than figuring out which supplement works best.

Your tax dollars at work.

Work hard for decades, pay taxes. Get hurt, lose your job, fuck you.

Just get off a plane? There's probably forms in every language to sign up for welfare. /s

I live in Central NJ, across from a High School. I have no kids. Every day I see parents dropping off their kids, no English spoken between many. Guess who's paying school taxes and who isn't?

Found one on ebay. There was also an etsy page in the search results, but it appears to be broken.

while not so subtly encouraging her supporters to harass the campaign.

Sounds like a similar situation early last year. Where are Hochul's hearings?

So, some of the same people that were going around screaming "Stay in your house! It's only two weeks! Save lives! Do what you're told" are now having their gay sex, instead of abstaining like told to do.

Fuckin hypocrites.

Good. Eff him. He promised the essential workers - among them Firefighters, Police, Sanitation, and Transit - some compensation for working through the pandemic.

Never materialized.

If he gets sick I hope the EMT looks him in the face and reminds him. Over, and over, and over.
