I found out recently that a relative was recommended by her doctor to get a few rounds of chemo as a preventive measure for breast cancer. She never had cancer but her doc told her she was high risk and chemo might reduce the risk by 19% so it would be worth it. She went ahead and did it! Now I wonder how long until it shows up and will the doctor just say "well, it's never a sure thing, you just got unlucky."

Then it went to shit because the narrative caught on that all you had to do was buy and hold to reap the rewards. It became speculative, and people stopped using it and just started viewing it like a stock.
It's value derives from its utility as a means of exchange. Without people using it, the "store of value" narrative has nothing behind it other than people's belief that it will just always go up in terms of dollars.

Just search Amazon for "countertop distiller". There's lots of models.
You can get a countertop distiller for a hundred bucks or so on Amazon. It just boils water and collects the steam so it takes out literally everything and you have only pure water. I've been using one for about a year and you can see the buildup of minerals on the bottom from tap water or even RO filtered water. It makes a huge difference when cooking or making coffee.
It might be worth burning to a DVD so it doesn't take up valuable disk space.
