I have no idea what the actual target was in that attack. The explosion killed some very specific things in the central US. The 911 service was down for almost a week in our area. AT&T had to bring in mobile cell towers specifically for first responders. It also took out the network for our bank.

Agreed, the barn was a symptom I think, maybe unintentional. On the underground data center: if Q says "massive" then it is likely fucking massive – the scale of things we can barely comprehend aren't expressed by Q in hyperbole, IMO.
So however it happened it's likely the actual explosions covered a much larger subterranean area or even a complete different area vertically than where the barn was located. Again, that was likely a path of least resistance and an entrance of sorts. That explosion must have been...mighty.

I know this place. It was a failing greenhouse business that grew seedlings. The last time I was there they still used fuel oil and propane furnaces to heat the greenhouses and they were literally falling apart as was the rest of the place. The owners were old, tired, and took care of their grandchildren in this dump. My last thought when I left there last was .... this place is gonna burn down next time those furnaces fire up .... and it did. It was down the street from the Sterling costco and walmart who both had people shot in the stores. Fun times in NOVA which is the bastion of the DS in Virginia.
Could also be an insurance scam given that the abandoned house, also on that plot of land, burned down a few weeks before....
