Yep! I am a nurse and after the scientific breakthrough about multiple masks was announced, I saw many people coming in to the hospital with 2+ masks on. Sigh.
I come into shift with my one mask required in the building by my work. Then I get on my covid unit. Put my n95 on. My mask over it. My scrub cap on. And my goggles on my head. And get to work. It sucks.
The ones we use don’t have a valve. It’s a complete seal. I’d post a photo from before shift but don’t wanna clog up the feed. We are constantly disinfecting our n95: and mask so we can take breaks and remove them. The ear pain is insane. But they are definitely hard to breathe in. Especially with a second mask over it and running around taking vitals. Giving bed baths and going room to room. Oh well. It’s the job. ??♀️
I ask myself these questions every day. I it work in an outpatient endoscopy setting, so I don't have to deal with the same issues as inpatient nurses, etc.. but it's SO hard to stand up to literally an entire hospital of brainwashed individuals. And even harder to push back when you fear for your job and livelihood. Instead, I try to take EVERY opportunity I can to drop little redpill hints on my patients while we are talking throughout the course of their appointment. I feel like it's the most effective way for me to contribute. Plant seeds of doubt and maybe get people to start asking some questions.
I find that essentially every patient wants to talk about covid and how tired they are of everything that's happening- most people can at least see that at this point, something is just simply not adding up. I tread lightly because everyone is obviously different when it comes to what they can handle for information, and some people I just can tell immediately that I won't even TRY to approach the topic haha (we all know what type of person these are...). It is encouraging to me though, that so many people are beginning to open their eyes to the bigger picture.
I also am asked very frequently about the vaccine and I take great pride in telling people that I will NOT be getting it, and then it opens the door to telling them my reasons why!
I don't know what effect these conversations have in the long term, but even if it causes a little crack in the narrative for them, then I feel like I'm at least doing something!!
I agree entirely. It's exhausting in every way possible. And I hate that there are no easy answers. I know that there's strength in numbers though, so that seems the most logical place to start... Building a local community of people who are like-minded and want to see change. Our voices are important. I have to believe that the conversations we have with others will ultimately have some kind of impact, so we need to keep talking. Our money has a lot of power too, and I love the idea of putting our dollars into the people, the businesses, etc, who are also standing up against this- however rare those might be right now. But maybe the more we do this, the more effective we will be in inspiring others to follow suit?? Or maybe these are all just nice thoughts and I have no clue what I'm talking about. ? I just think that small scale, local victories are the way we win this. Idk. I'm desperate.
For me personally though, I've decided my line in the sand is the vaccine. If that becomes mandatory for my job, I'm out. I can't see potentially losing my job for pushing back over the mask, or the stupid goggles we have to wear now. Those things are obnoxious, but that's really the extent of it. I will not put something in my body that I do not want in my body. No one is going to tell me otherwise. So for me personally, that will be my big stand up and walk away moment. (I secretly hope for this because it would be a fun statement to make! And I know I wouldn't be alone!!)
Likely it’s all about the money, treatment of COVID pays better than treating the flu. It hard to get those COVID bucks unless their death is ruled as such. As with every restriction it comes down to one of two things, money or power, and sometimes both.
And 12x more than that when they're driving around with multiples on. You know covid is scary when you don't dare to breathe your own air. Can you imagine honestly believing that you're constantly surrounded by deadly air wherever you are?! Manufactured fear, ugh what a terrible way to live.
I was driving to work in the morning and I passed a guy on the highway with a mask on and all of his windows down, it was like 3 degrees F outside and who knows what the windchill was like inside that car at 80 MPH. Yeah some people are so brainwashed that they're rather risk frostbite and hypothermia.
Yeah, make sure you're wearing 2 masks when you go to the drive-thru covid testing facility to stick your ass out the window and get your cornhole swabbed!
I’m in healthcare & when patients ask my personal opinion, I tell them if you can smell a fart through underwear, long Johns & overalls, WTH is that mask doing for you?
Me and my brother both saw Walmart pharmacy people wearing multiple masks and we were making fun of it (while being maskless and wearing trump maga hats). But that was before it broke in the media, we were really confused
I’ve seen myself wearing multiple. But it’s required for work. It’s not pretty. And my skin hates it. And so does my sweating problem and breathing problem after only an hour and being busy like a maniac. It sucks. And I “personally” don’t feel any safer wearing two. But that’s just ME.. “personally”.
I do have sensitive skin. And I do sweat a lot. But I don’t use those as excuses to not follow my job rules. Since I do need my job. And my money. Thanks for the note though :)
Shit I've got coworkers who been wearing 2-3 mask since last summer ?. Doesn't surprise me anymore. They walk around you instead by you as well like your infected.
I've seen plenty of smugly stupid double-maskers.
Now we will be able to distinguish the braindead from the people who are just wearing a mask because it's required.
2 masks = mentally handicapped
1 mask = operating under duress
0 masks = don't tread on me
This right here is the only chart you need
Same. And shes former EMT.....
Totally saw someone wearing a medical mask with a lawmower mask over it. It was sad.
I was just on a flight and the attendant was doubling up on masks. I felt serious cloister phobia watching him.
Unfortunately saw a triple today i laughed at them
Holy shit I'd laugh like a loon if I saw one in person

The N95 masks often have a one-way valve so you can breathe out easily. It should be easy to "improve" the valve to make it two-way.

$$$$$$$
Yes, they look 3x more retarded.
And 12x more than that when they're driving around with multiples on. You know covid is scary when you don't dare to breathe your own air. Can you imagine honestly believing that you're constantly surrounded by deadly air wherever you are?! Manufactured fear, ugh what a terrible way to live.

Obviously you have never ridden around with the windows up after a night of Taco Bell.
Double maskers and people driving by themselves with masks on. These "sheep" are following the wrong "Shepherd".
Yeah, make sure you're wearing 2 masks when you go to the drive-thru covid testing facility to stick your ass out the window and get your cornhole swabbed!
Unless you are wearing two hazmat suits, you are basically killing people’s grandmas
I’m in healthcare & when patients ask my personal opinion, I tell them if you can smell a fart through underwear, long Johns & overalls, WTH is that mask doing for you?
"But but but the viral load can be transmitted to you without the mask!!!!" ???
So many try to defend that the masks work with the same MSM "science".
I hope I see someone doing that soon, I need a good laugh....
At this point, I’m sure some people would wear a plastic bag over their heads if the medical establishment suggested it.
We can only hope!
Just a few local freaks wearing face shields and such. Idiots
I’ve started referring to them as Face Diapers. People respond....”that’s gross”. Get it?
Yes my aunt today
Me and my brother both saw Walmart pharmacy people wearing multiple masks and we were making fun of it (while being maskless and wearing trump maga hats). But that was before it broke in the media, we were really confused
Yups... my Clinical RN supervisor???
Each mask is 25%.... at 5 masks your touch can heal!

Seems like you can claim the you have a medical issue with it so you don't have to wear one. Skin + sweating....
I do have sensitive skin. And I do sweat a lot. But I don’t use those as excuses to not follow my job rules. Since I do need my job. And my money. Thanks for the note though :)
Would you be able to get a note from a dermatologist?
No need. It’s just regular skin issues. Nothing serious :) same as everyone else in healthcare having issues. Thanks though. Bye bye and god bless.
Shit I've got coworkers who been wearing 2-3 mask since last summer ?. Doesn't surprise me anymore. They walk around you instead by you as well like your infected.
Ah, the "I AM LEGEND" phobia... :)
All those nasty, used, and UNNECESSARY Face Diapers polluting our landfills and oceans - yuck.
Yep, where ARE the hazmat disposal bins???
I wear zero masks.
I’ve seen the mask + the face shield. Idiots
At least one at work yesterday night.
What about the people wearing the mask with the face shield over top; have you seen that?
Yep, several
Nope, not yet. Lots of masks, but I haven't seen the two-ply masks yet. Los Angeles.
My coworker wears 3.
I'd kick my own ass if i ever did something this fkn stupid
Yes. Some dumb butch walking out of QuikTrip. She looked at me like "omg! Why are you not wearing a mask!" I look at her like "wtf?! Two masks?!"
I also rung the bell of some dumb fuck with a bathroom door wearing two masks. In a bar. Fuck him.
my landlady
