That's what I was wondering when I thought about it more today. When I saw it last night I thought it was possibly just a dumb joke but knowing that it's blocking the entire port it really does make you wonder if the joke has a lot more meaning to it.
For the next several days... no military ships can transit between the Red Sea and the Mediterranean. (Note: This also keeps Russian ships from transiting from the Black Sea into the Red Sea. It also prevents military ships from the Persian Gulf from passing into the Mediterranean.)

If we go another 2-3 days with no definitive answer, I think a white hat operation becomes plausible as the media will be more likely to avoid truths. Pretty sure no one is satisfied with the current explanation.

I tend to look at this as it being a bad thing as you said a way to hyper-inflate prices worldwide and say, "See we need to rest the system."
