With Trump gone, the bill has come due for companies who chose wokeness over profits. With all the margin calls due to the game stop fiasco, hedge funds needed to liquidate literally billions of dollars of stocks in order to cover the losses. And with Viacom and others being downgraded last week it was kind of obvious what was going to happen.
I don't think this is anything other than the bill coming due for poor policy decisions. Get woke, go broke
Now there certainly could be a domino effect, like what happened in China when people found out the company was using conterfeit gold after it took losses. so who know
If you guys were paying attention, CBS/Viacom just dropped 50% in value last week. The speculation is that the woke ideals that channel has been pushing have caught up to them, and they have cratered.
More speculation is all these incredible drop-offs in viewership have caught up with these networks and media companies. They expect them all to crater real soon.
These foolish companies bet on woke ideals. They are now learning they are just not working. Then again they bet on twitter, which has a tiny active user base, just they are vocal. The rest were bots.
And the best part, many of these companies will never be able to unfuck themselves. They simply cannot drop their own wokeness and actually switch over to products or content that will ever appeal to us. They will be immediately sabotaged via multiple methods by their own employees.
And we get to watch it all unfold. It’s going to be fun.
