My zinc is called Zinc Liver Chelate.....(bovine liver, organic beet, organic carrot and organic sweet potato.) Best not to take isolated factors because they are not in a form that the body can use well. Mine are 10 mg per tablet. That's my two cents. Best to ya!
Just a FYI ;) It is possible to overdose on Vitamin D, because it's a fat-soluble vitamin. But you'd have to take 60,000 units a day for several months.

Make sure you take a d3 supplement with k2 in it. That helps the distribution of it to go to the right places. It doesn’t need to be a high amount. One of my D3s has k2 in it and the other doesn’t. I take them at the same time. Dr Ken D Berry or Dr Eric Berg on YouTube (I know...) have tons of information re: good vitamins and what not. Worth checking out
If you are already low on vit D, it can take three weeks to reach a protective level.
My daily regime is:
D3 5000iu
K2 200ug
Zinc citrate 30mg
Magnesium citrate 400mg
Boron (trace amount)
For boron, I put one heaped teaspoon of boracic acid powder ("foot powder" from my pharmacy) into boiling water then dilute that down with cold water to make a pint. I take one capful per day in coffee.
I saw a video of a Doctor explaining it is not sufficient to rely on sunshine for your Vitamin D. Especially if you don't live in a very sunny area. People who do live in sunny areas often are darker with more melanin. The melanin doesn't let the sun in, protecting their skin. Lighter people try to avoid sun to prevent sun damage and skin cancer. The more north you are, the less sunshine.
The reason people become ill in the fall and winter is twofold:
Viruses thrive in cold temperatures
There's often less sun, so you're getting vitamin D in very small amounts.
The vitamin D isn't there to boost your immune system.
Vitamin D is also free. A much better and efficient version is just outside. Go get sunlight.

Good question. The preventive dose is less than the therapeutic dose.
For prevention, 15 mg a day of zinc should be good, unless you know you're deficient.
For treatment, they recommend 220 mg of zinc sulfate, which is something like 50 milligrams of ionic zinc. Remember, that's only for 5 days and has to be followed exactly as prescribed by your enlightened doctor.
I take an 11mg Zinc supplement twice a week as a reinforcement. If you eat Healthy (not fast-food regularly) good amounts of zinc come with it. I eat more healthy than crappy which is why I only do twice a week.
If feeling "off" this 11mg goes to once a day until that off feeling goes away.
After stopping the Flu shot every year and being very wary of anything a Doc wants to poke me with, I can proudly say I haven't been sick since 2012 because of this simple regimen. It's been fantastic to not dread "that time of the year".

50mg daily could give you toxicity, symptoms are cold like symptoms.
I do about 50 3x a week and just 15 the rest. If I get sick, I'll do the 50 for 4 or 5 days
I bought zinc recently at my local Walgreens. No lack of stock, and the price hasn't gone up.
I just got my bottle of D3 today and took one. Feel better already! Knowing I'm boosting my natural immunity.
