It had to be legal and Constitutional.
It is a slow process. But it had to be this way. The ending may not be for everyone.

I personally think whatever the results of this concoction of events is, it will be used as leverage for the next phase of Trumps plan. He could be doing this and damn well know it isn't going to work, and the failure will tie into his plan. Thats how he always operates. He snares the enemy.

No. Trump is the Republican Party. I quit the Party on 1/21/21 and went No Party Preference or whatever, but I'll support Trump and those he endorses. The Republican Party haven't figured things out yet, but they will as the money dries up.
I did the same thing about 2 months ago. Re-registered as no party affiliation, and when I get those Republican things in the mail I send them back with no money and let them know what shits they are for not backing Trump and standing by him in a obvious stolen election. They were in on it.
