We don’t have enough land for livestock, but THIS is why we are currently draining our savings account to turn our yard into a functioning mini farm. Deer-proof gated gardens, orchards, berry patches, greenhouses, hopefully chickens in the next 2 years... it’s amazing how much you can fit on the average suburban lot if you get creative.
We’ve got one little one, and another on the way, and I want to know where their food comes from.

Slugs don’t like coffee grounds, so you can mulch around certain plants with that (just make sure it’s an acid loving plant like tomatoes and blueberries), as far as aphids go... ladybugs. Fun fact: ladybugs like dill flowers, so planting some near your garden could help attract them.
