First, they’ve always been fairly liberal in Minneapolis, but the progressives have gotten progressively more “progressive” all across the US in the last 15 years. In the US, Dems and Republicans used to have far more commonality, but that has changed over the last 30 years, fueled by the media.
Secondly they imported hundreds of thousands of Somali refugees. That has changed things in Minneapolis as you can imagine.
It’s hard to describe how woke things have gotten in this country in the last 10-15 years. It’s been a steady March to the left.
The only major difference i notice is social media. Twitter wasnt as influential when I was there. Thats all I can see as the reason why liberals have gone into overdrive.
These are the people that if they are not stopped will eventually seize private property, farm land, etc and then proceed to starve themselves when they aren’t capable of actually producing.
